Hello all. Has anyone used this device live with power amp and cab. Can it sound like a pushed valve amp even in a noisy band mix or does it's finer nuances require studio recording. Many Thanks.
A piece of advice, please post your questions to the correct forum thread:

I will install it too, in a couple of hours when I get home and wil provide an update.
The master volume dial did affect the SPDif output prior to FW 1.0.7.
Since FW 1.0.7. this has been disabled.
Correct, thanks for the clarification, Chrs!
You're only using 1.0.9? The latency is so low from 2.0.0 that it preretroactively installed itself on my Kemper yesterday in order to play the notes that I'm going to hit two years from now.
Confirmed.
The 2.0.0 works like a charm with the KPA Rack.
It also has an added function, to make the rack look like the "cosmic toaster", if switched on.
Already discussed before, Chris.
The way to control the s/pdif volume is either through your DAW's or your audio interface's volume controls.
Very good!!!
Give us a budget and which PC/Mac you have, so we can give you the right suggestion
+1
You guys are so back to the future..Anyone have Marty's FRFR with the 100" boomer ?
Tha's the old model, mate. It's discontinued 2 years now
My KPA disappeared too... WTF???
It landed in my living room, Chris!!!!
No worries, I am sending it back to you in 5 min....with the 1.08 update!!!!
Not even 1.07, now it just shows only "KPA Operating System 1.0.6 Release"!!!
So 1.08 is almost cooked and will be out of the oven soon
The funny thing is that when i do a page refresh. it momentarily shows 1.07 and then just dissappears!
Welcome!
Looking forward to trying out your profiles when ready!
but I personally love the 'retro-radio, cosmic toaster, mad scientist vibe' of the design - all that's missing is a big round chromed microphone that totally eclipses any normal-sized face!
Absolutely great description!!! Especially the "mad scientist vibe"!!!
I do dig it as it is!
Very good news!
A factory reset comes always handy, when things go wrong for some reason.
you should go to a good musicstore that has studio monitors on display, bring your fav CDs, maybe even some of your own stuff and LISTEN.
also, invest in some monitor pads to de-couple them from where ever you're placing them, otherwise you'll most likely get unpleasant resonances in the low mids/bass.
This is the way to go, IMHO.
No one can indicate to you what to buy, except yourself. It is your money, your ears and you are the one who'll be listening through them after all.
All suggestions above are fine, still a perfect pair for someone maybe the worse for someone else's ears.
Narrow you options down from what the members here suggest and go and give them a listen.
Compressor is fine here in Edinburgh
Niiiiice!! Thank you very much!
Very good, just tried them! Thanks for sharing!
Just played them, they are keepers! Thanks a lot!
