Did you have a look at this posting ?
Pod and KPA
Does midi and more
BR McRalfix
Good Point, but there are more fx in the POD and the profile set up is SW supported with L6 Edit.
CK is a little behind with his midi cmds and a remote SW. This is widely discussed in other posts.
We will see, when CK comes up with more remote features.
Only in this mode, I can use my Variax connected by the cat cable.

Hi community !
With the Help of taxman1997 of the german L6 community, I have set up a small documentation to help beginners setting up the KPA with a POD HD Pro.
I own a POD HD Pro, therefore the example covers this gear. HD500 users should have no big problem to convert the preset files, changing the extension to *.h5e. FS8 has the Prog# change command and fx loop switch assigned.

Please read the Word File and use the embedded ZIP with the profiles to create your own best configuration.
For your convenience HEREthe ZIP file separately
I am sure, there are a lot alternatives to my example, so take this challenge and publish them to us
Have fun
Geht nicht, gibt´s nicht. "Doesn't work" is no option.
I expect you did a new pedal calibration as described in the manual.

Seeing this head to head rade, I wonder why it would not be possible to build the small version and to have an optional plug to extend on the right hand side just using 2 screws to be fixed on the main unit (the small interface).
With this idea you also could extend the board with a couple of pedals to the right finally having an all in board, if you wand to.
Sell the main unit for 199, the extension plug 99 (large board) and each pedal 99 (max 3-4 pedals)
I love LEGO
The Smaller
But I would switch the bank knobs with the tuner / tap knobs so that up is on the right above and down directly below
Since most explanations cite what is written in the manual, I may ask if the explanations in the manual were not satifying, or if it's uncool to read the manual?
Manual ist fine but a combination in a WIKI where I see the official manual text and below the wiki tricks and user postings would be the killer.
Then I whould just look for the index word or topic and find all related knowledge without scrolling through pdf documents.
Wouldn't that be cool ?
Best regards Ralf
I think this is not quite right. This effect just happens in my configuration, when the midi connection has started and the current settings of the stomps have to be synchronized by switching on/off with the KPA. After that it works fine as long as you just use the fcb and do not manually change the settings directly via the KPA. But do you think the Kemper Board will be released this year ? It seems they even do not have a prototype.
Hi Joe, I am sorry not to be able to answer with a lot of experience. I just came to the Behringer and Uno through this board some weeks ago. I would not be astonished if yes. But why don't you ask the guys at the uno Internet Page in Belgium. They do answer questions in 1 day. The one dump I provide for 1.03 is a sysex file.
The Midi Editor TB Tiny Midi I use for the iPhone to cover the missing Behringer functions is for iOs on iPad and iPhone, not for the Mac (but I love it, this is a lot better)
Have fun with midi and the KPA.
I'm using a POD HD 500 as Midi controller for the KPA.
Advantage: I have a backup with me on stage.
At home, I'm using my Behringer FCB1010 to control the KPA.
Advantage: 10 instead of 8 presets accessible withou bank switch.
Would you mind providing a saved setup profile with the pod hd software ?
Thank you very much
All is fine for me. In combination with the Midi iPhone I have access to all parameters. And when the NRPN commands are out I will extend the tb tiny midi template and that is it. Here the Link to the iOS Midi Apps. Have fun and tell me more about your experiences
Hi KPA Family, here are my next findings, perhaps useful for some of you.
As many of you I was missing Exp pedals for my KPA. So why not having a try with one of these solutions some of us use already.
So did I. Bougth the FCB and the latest UNO eprom and had my fun to find out, that these Exp pedals then had to be calibrated to send out midi signals again.
As you probably know, the UNO Chip is sold with a separate Editor SW which I highly can recommend; LG-FCB Control Center. I used it to make my first profile (see below).
Screenshot: Upper row fixed Stompboxes A/B/C/X/Mod Lower Row Prog#1-96 ExpA=Vol ExpB=Wah
Missing functions (rest of the stomps, del, rev, rot, tuner ..) I switch directly at the KPA or via my iPhone and the TB Tiny Midi solution and my KPA profile via my i-MX1 Yamaha interface

But for everybody who wants to startup with a solution and not with a challenge I will provide to you a suitable dump to start with.
Here the dump for LG-FCB Control Center or other solutions handling that format FCB UNO KPA profile.
And here the sysex dump file received by the free Java Editor Solution for the FCB1010
Ripwerx Editor voila FCB UNO KPA profile sysex file ZIP
Besides, I connected my iPAD with TBSTUFF to the MIDI THROUGH, so I have all options available, NRPN included.
Do not forget just in case the EXP pedals do not work to do the FCB ...

Finally it helps to have a look into the Uno Manual or to walk through the Idiot's guide here
Have fun.
Geht nicht, gibt´s nicht. "Doesn't work" is no option.
I feel that we already have got plenty of alternatives on iPAD and iPhone to control the KPA via MIDI.
There are a lot of Apps you can use right now, nearly out of the box (see the links above).
It would prefer the Kemper team to release the complete command set for MIDI and to concentrate the ressources on finishing the product 1st.
Geht nicht, gibt´s nicht. "Doesn't work" is no option.
A couple of years ago VOX launched the VBM-1 Brian May amp which included the "Deacon amp" electronics to get the right sound for famous songs as there are Bohemian Rhapsody and You're My Best Friend.
The profile is done with this setup using a Brian May red special guitar (BURNS tri sonic single coils).

I included some coloumn references on brands and rig names to ease the input.

I am glad you liked the profile. Very nice production.
Does anybody know how to set the parameters for e.g. X = #7188 ?
It seems to be not too easy the 1st time.
Thanx
