  • Tube or SS Power Amp??

    I tried a Velocity 300 with Kemper and despite it sounded decent, it was so digital sounding to me in high-gain profiles. The tried a Brunetti Rockit and it sounded better. But the best way it sounds is on the return of my Engls loop....


    I need to try the Matrix GT1000FX. All the people say good words about it..

  • Weird high end rattle on some profiles????

    Sorry to hear that you have problems with the profiles. I've just checked them all and with headphones all is normal. When using monitor out to a small combo (the only one I can use at home) everything goes fine, but when I hit "Disable cabinet", the it comes the digital electric fizz but I don't know if it's the same you're listening to, because that way it sounds totally awfull

    As you requested, I've added 22 new Engl Special Edition E-670 profiles to the Rig Exchange cloud. All of them taken from my amp's channel 3 (Lead 1) in MODERN mode. Mic: Shure SM57 (mexican) slightly off axis. Cabinet: Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12 loaded with Celestion Vintage 30. The Engl has 6L6 powertubes.

  • What would be a recomendable FRFR for medium volume small club live gigs?

    Hy mates, new hi-gain profiles uploaded to rig exchange, as you requested: Bogner Uberschall, EVH 5150 III (damn GREAT hi gain amp!), Dual Rectifier. All of them have been tested to sound ok with D and C tunings. Shure SM57 mic used and Mesa Boogie Rectifier 4x12 cabinet (I can't get another different cabinet for having different cab sounds, hahahahaha. all the people here seems to own the same cabinet!)


    I tried to profile my Engl SE but gave me a lot of problems when doing it, so I'll try it again in few days. Sorry for the matters guys :S

    How do you find the bottom end on the Alto?. All the poweramps I tried with traditional guitar cab dissapointed me on bottom end...too prominent, so I'm looking for an affordable "FRFR" system, and the Alto seems to be nice.
