I have always tried for no red on the input LED at all. I don't even like seeing it yellow. I was under the assumption that red=clipping=bad so have avoided it.

We really need a profile of the + black box setting with max gain on the other knob. Rock it!!

No doubt, the camera audio sounds like shit. I wish they could have taken sound from FOH board. Loomis has been seen in recent videos playing a KPA, so if the other guitarist is using it why would it be on the other side of the stage? Is the bassist using it? I bet Keith Merrow could straighten us out on this since he has been hanging out with Loomis lately.

The kid definitely has chops. It's amazing what I hear out of the asian countries, then can really play some good covers.
You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until these kids grow up and get a Kemper.

I agree, if you just select the default wah sound, the range is way too far and it sounds terrible. Use one of the presets with the browse knob and then save the profile. The Crybaby preset works pretty good. Then hold the button and examine the settings and play with them. You can improve and make the range smaller or larger on the KPA alone.

Great one!!!
OT question: where do you find all these backing tracks? They are really good for testing profiles!!!
http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com is where I get most of the ones I use.

I was thinking the same thing after going through your VHT profiles. I was jamming some Powerslave. I think we'll record it at practice tomorrow and I'll post it up.

Thanks Pete. I downloaded them and loaded them up for practice tomorrow!

I was able to download the upgrade just fine. I then tried the Merrow pack and it downloaded fine as well. I'm using Chrome as a browser and 7-Zip as my unzip software.

It is around 5 MB, there is a large PDF in there with pictures of the amps. As far as the download problem, I think that may be something with the server. Several people have said something about it today. I downloaded it ok and was able to unzip it fine. I'm going to try to download the 1.61 upgrade and see if I have issues with that.

You confused me. I thought there might be a new beta ready.

Nice video. Just hearing the audio, I thought you may have pieced it together in several sessions. It's nice to see someone just jam out something straight through like that. Is this the same take as the audio version or a new take?

The announcement disappeared from his Facebook page. Maybe he needed a little more refinement time....

I just bought a Whammy DT a couple months ago. So either way this hint translates, I'm still ok.

Sounds great! Looking forward to the pack.

After checking their forums, it looks like they used to use Pod X3 pros! However, Peter London said that is in the past.

The website lists Blackstar as an endorser, so I'm sure he's playing their gear. It does sound very much like a Marshall. I pulled up Andy's TAF-Hello 1980z and it was pretty close. Also TAF-Rok Your Sox sounds good playing along. Those are both from the free pack.

Thanks for listing out the tweaks. As soon as I get back home tomorrow, I am going to try these settings.

Sounds like you got a great deal. I paid $1850 for mine last april, but I've had it for almost a year longer so I think we are about even.
My KPA is the one piece of gear I cannot play without. I have a dozen guitars, but it doesn't matter which one I'm playing, they all sound great through the KPA. No remorse, no regret!

Great cover DJ. I love that Goldie. I can't believe the burst buckers sound so good in it.
