Ola's Hector SM57 profile. Definitely my favorite high gain profile as of now.

Just recorded this. Guess the profile. Man, this thing is killer.

Sounds great! I'd love to hear it without the vocals so that I can hear the guitar better

As far as I know, he doesn't use any EQ pedals. He runs through a few effects and then straight into the amp. Seeing as he has been developing the Legacy for the past 10+ years, I think most of the voicing of his sound comes straight from the onboard EQ itself. If you want to see him demo the Legacy 3 in HD, check this link Legacy 3 Demo HD. You can easily see the EQ on the amp. Where the Legacy really sings is the upper-midrange. The notes maintain a certain roundness - even using a high-output bridge pickup - without getting brittle. Definitely one of my favorite amps of all time. If you can't tell, I'm a huge Vai fan, and being able to play around with the amp without having the amp here is great for me. Nobody in Savannah, Georgia has a Legacy, which makes me a sad panda.

Great playing, man.

I've never owned any Carvin amps, but one of my favorite guitars is a Carvin V220. The Legacy sounds very organic, even with the gain cranked, and it really sings in the upper registers without getting too hairy. This profile just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Erik Stam made a great sounding Legacy I profile, and I have to share this quick clip I made with it. Man, I'll be playing with this profile all evening for sure.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!! May I ask some of the talented shredders here to post some clip? Sorry but this is really not my stuff...........
Here you go. I recorded this just a few minutes ago with the Legacy414HG2 profile that Erik Stam made. It's a lot of fun to play on. Thanks for the great profile, Erik!

Looks like I uploaded it under "Alex." My bad.

Thanks, all. I'm glad that my first attempt at profiling went alright. There are some other really cool amps up there, including a really smooth snakeskin Soldano that I'd like to profile, as well as an old JMP. The JMP is actually in the video just above the JCM800 in that shelving unit. This KPA thing is pretty wicked, and definitely the sweetest piece of gear I've ever owned.

Yeah, man. I had set the amp EQ for the guitar I was using at the time, so it will sound different depending on what kind of guitar you've plugged in with. It's got a bit of hair that jumps out the harder you dig in. Listen to it in a mix and I'm sure you'll like it.
Thanx man, good one! I´m going to make a profile of my 1982 2203 Marshall soon, that´s a really fat and juicy sounding brother, but almost stock, with some small changes. Could you tell me where the master volume´s been set when profiling?
Sorry, been writing too fast (when watching the video) but now after trying on my radio I find that profile too much axis sound? There´s too much of that not nice Marshall bite in it, may be another mico position could bring better results?
cya, ACY!

This will be my first upload to the profile exchange. I profiled an amp yesterday that sounds killer. It's a modified 1986 Marshall JCM800 that belongs to the bass player from Shinedown, Eric Bass. The cab is an old blonde Marshall cab from 1971/1972 that has the old Rola-Celestion speakers in it. The mic was an SM7B. I'm super-happy with the way it turned out. I just put together a sound sample with it. I used the built-in delay and reverb for the first small section. The rest of it is try with me messing around with the volume knob and pickup selector on the guitar. I can't wait to track something with this one.

Re-did the guitars using the Marshall Golub Mod Crunch profile. Bridge pickup only on both L&R channels.

Thanks! I guess the next step will be vocals. I have a couple of people in mind. It would be great if I could get, I dunno, maybe Dave Grohl or something. That would be killer. Anyone got his number?

I threw this together over the past two days. I used the Kemper for both the guitars and bass. The guitar is a Charvel San Dimas with Duncans (JB/59). The bass is a cheap Ibanez. Enjoy. I'm going to have someone do vocals sometime in the next week. Maybe. Or maybe I'll just drink. Whatever.

Thanks, all!

Thanks! I can't wait to put more stuff together over the upcoming weekend! Sometimes I wish I had Saturdays off!

Hello, Kemperites! As of yesterday afternoon, I became the happy owner of a black KPA, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. I have no other amplifiers at this time, as I have no use for them. I have a handful of guitars, my two main axes being a Carvin V220 with Duncans, and a candy apple red Charvel San Dimas, similarly equipped. I also wanted to say to Herr Kemper, Vielen Dank für Ihre Arbeit! I appreciate it. This device has made me extremely happy.

I found this Splawn Nitro Clean profile that Tony McKenzie put together and had to try it out in a basic recording with some basic chords. I used the Hoss Genz-Benz profile for the bass. For six minutes worth of work, I feel like it turned out okay.
