These 2 profiles sound perfect! Very well balanced and more rock than metal. I would be curious to know what mic you used here ? Also, that would have been cool to make a liquid profile of your amp and see how it reacts !
Engl Savage is not on the list for liquid profiles...yet.
Never liked the Savage and mkII didn't do if for me either. But your profiling is impeccable and hope to hear you make profiles of other high gain amps in the future.
I was on my way to save some money for a fractal but then kemper came and it was cheaper and I could order one or wait 6 months for a fractal unit. The choice was easy and if I didn't like it I could return it back to thomann. But I would like to try a fractal some day. Buy one? No. I'm satisfied with my kemper. I've also purchased profiles pack and been dissapointed 'casue like only one or two of them was good for me. My best purchase was Colin Richardson's rig pack. The man is a legend producer and now his stuff. I purchased it cheaper though during a sale.
I found a treasure for myself in One Ok Rock. I was lucky enough to see OOR on their European tour in Berlin.
I don't know any other band that rocks out on stage with so much passion. Here is one of their anthems

I thought pop-metal had died out. But I guess some things are hard to kill.
Audient hasn’t got S/Pdif either.
You just need a converter from optical to coaxial. Doens't cost much.
Display MoreHey good people. I’m looking into selling my RME Babyface Pro fs as it really doesn’t fit me and get a different audio interface. What I want in an audio interface is:
- S/Pdif
- NOT S/Pdif through ADAT
- A big volume dial
- Loopback
- At least two mic inputs
I’m looking at Antelope, Arturia Audiofuse Studio and stuff in this price range. But I think the choices out there are really limited and everyone seems to praise RME, but it’s not for me. It sounds incredible though. And I think that I read a lot of negative stuff about most units beside RME, so I’m really confused about what to do. Many people report about bad support, faulty devices, loud clicking noises on volume dial, the Antelope needs to be connected to the internet etc. So I just read a lot of stuff, I really don’t want to deal with.
Does anyone have any suggestions about a new audio interface, that meets my demands, that I haven’t thought about or seen? Or does people have anything to say about the two mentioned audio interfaces?
Thanx in advance
Huh, I'm not looking forward they day I must get a new one. I dread that day. I use a SPL Crimson and does everything I need. SPDIF, to monitors and killer headphone speakers. I purchaded it second hand. I had enough of Focusrite and their drivers. Even worse with M-Audio in the past. Their drivers were a nightmare. I don't know where in the world you are living but if Thomann is an option you can allways return if you don't like something. Maybe take a look at Audient. Never heard any bad comment of their interfaces. https://www.thomann.de/se/audient_id24.htm
or maybe a Black Lion?
I’m just going to recommend the UA Apollo, versatile and spectacular plugins.
And their dsp plugins are made very cpu hungry. Who needs dsp plugins today? I had a UAD long time ago. Never again.
80-85% of the sound is the the cab and mic. Guitar and pickups matter less than guitarists believe.
I would be great to have same technology than Two Notes products.
For me, cab and mic have more impact on the sound than the amp itself.
Restart RM. If it doesn’t work, restart kemper. The same happens to me occasionally.
A little higher action on the guitars make the sound bigger too.
I do believe this is the sound of hitting a low action guitar way too hard. He needs to increase the action a bit if he wants to hit that hard.
Something so many guitarists can't understand. Why can't I have lower action and hit hard? Um, becase it's an impossible equation?
Been using ADAM A5...ten years or so. I'll keep them until they die. But if you live close enough to a music store go and test different brands and see what you like best.
after all these years Kemper still delivery,i liked other devices like Fractal,QC,Tonex,Helix or plugins like NAM,S-Gear,Neural DSP,Amplitube,ML Labs,Helix Native but what i dont like about some people is they always try to bash the Kemper on the Fractal forum or QC ,all those devices and plugins in good hands can make awesome tone.
Let them rant about the kemper. Who cares? Life is too short to bother what others think. Here kemper users are more broadminded and smarter too.
You might check out Live Ready Sound profiles. They seem pretty bright to me but I have not used them live so cant speak to that.
Just because profiles are pretty bright doesn’t mean they are mix ready. That’s not how mixing work. A mix is a compromise of sounds and they all effect each other. Change something and it will effect everything else.
We are many with that request.
I don't remember who it was but it was a well known metal producer/mix engineer said something like this: producers talk about recording guitars and without have to use EQ but end up using a lot of EQ to get the guitar sound the mix need. If you ever get your hands on commercial multitracks you will instantly hear that that guitars need some tweaks to get it right.
