Have you tried the Kemper's Looper? I haven't yet as my controller isn't NRPN capable. Interested to know why it's not good for live use.

Agree I'd love a studio style compressor, seems like anything I change only makes the current ones worse. Thought it was just me lol.
Also remember the Compressor parameter in the Amp section. If it gives the desired result you've just freed up a Stomp,
-
I set all my Outputs to Master Mono no problems anywhere since.
-
I use mono too and set all my Outputs to Master Mono.
-
Yes except in emergencies use whatever ya got

That would be the Morphing button/expression pedal. It can change anything you like pretty much. All my rythym channels now have a morph to lead option that can usually adds delays, decreases mods and boosts volume a tad. I love it.
-
To make the stomp blank simply use the left (browse) knob, top of list above wah is a blank slot option,
-
If the deleted stomp was from a factory update you can recover it by using the factory content option in the system menu. It will reinstall anything it doesn't find. Hope that helps.

Thanks all! It's still under warranty yay! Can't find much detail on Kempers warranty online, I'm sure there are disclaimers. but It worked fine for 3 hours after the incident (4 different bands used it during a benefit we did) so I assumed all my gear was good to go. Only found the problem when I fired it up today. It's home airing out for a few days just in case that helps, if not off she goes.

I've sent a support ticket but they wont open for a bit, putting it out here in case anyone has ideas (and to vent about my bad day)
Major wall leak above my Kemper at a show yesterday, only a little water made it to the bottom of the rack. Lost a lot of highs and seemed to gain bottom end. Tried different cables, guitars and outputs but all the same. Did a restore, same problem. Letting it dry out some more and waiting for support to clock in. I guess that's all I can do, this sucks!

With a clean/semi-clean signal you will get a volume increase from a booster in the stomp section. This works until you reach a saturation point where you only increase gain not the volume by adding boosters before the amp section. This is why I always use a pure booster in the effects section to get a volume increase with a high gain profile.

Welcome aboard! Not a steel player, didn't find much on this site but check this out:

Some of the replies talk about some specific profiles. Good luck and happy hunting!!

Understood thanks Timo. I should have explained better. I locked the Stack section but it wouldn't unlock afterward. Did a reboot and an update and so far have not been able to reproduce it.
-
No and it just happened to me but in Browse mode. I'm installing 4.0.6 will see what happens.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks everyone! Also, is there a way to move the factory profiles to rig manager and off the Kemper so I can start with a clean slate? Or do I have to delete them for good. If so, is there a way to get the factory profiles back if I ever decided to?
Rig Manager doesn't really hold any rigs from your Kemper, it just reads what you have and displays it. You can go into the System menu and "delete non-favorites" which deletes all rigs you have not hit the Save button on. From the System menu you can also reload the Factory content anytime you want.

I'd pick up some small studio monitors, I've never been happy with any tones I've tweaked using headphones. Also check out the Space parameter. Enjoy your Kemper!

Direct profiles exclude the cab, using a DI box to profile a head as an example. As for profiles I'd go over all the factory rigs first, I use quite a few of them even now years later, they're some truly great profiles in there. After that I'd check out rig exchange, I always seem to be able to find great amps there. I have bought commercial packs but only when I need a specific amp that I can't find anywhere else. Not against the commercial side at all I just like to hint to newcomers that you don't have to buy anything more to get great tones, it will just take more effort to weed through the masses out there. There are also many recommendations for profiles and top notch profilers here in the forum. Cheers!

Anyone have info on what amp Soundside's Bogus Golden Arm is profiled from? I stumbled on it auditioning profiles for my new Jackson and WAM! Everything opened up clean and dirty, this one is coming to our show's for sure. Tweaked it a bit by adding a TB Pure Fat Booster and one of the Rector studio eq's.
