Hi All

Well its arrived and i connected the S/PDIF to my Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 interface and

set the clock to S/PDIF but it does not do anything in Logic,no sound.

I have put off asking for a while but now I'm stuck,anyone help please?

Update:

I now have it working in logic using the Direct Out,so i am not too bother about the S/PDIF.

Already downloaded the Morgan AC20 and the Thierry Fender profiles in anticipation of
my rack arriving on Friday.

Well i have done it now,I ordered the non powered version and i will have it tomorrow,Friday.

That should keep me busy for a while so look out for more newby questions.

Suppose i should go back to reading the manual.

Yes,I am still dithering about getting a Kemper.

I have heard that the Kemper struggles with Clean stuff,and
I would appreciate it if Clean Profile users could comment.

That said,which Profiles would be best for clean.
I would love to try the Morgan.

I was wondering if it was possible to use outboard gear with a Kemper Rack.

I will be getting a Zoom G3,purely for a Custom Echo program,but i was wondering how would i connect
this to a Kemper?

Thanks giletti,can't say fairer than that,great reply.

I must just say that I won't be using a cab,I will direct inject into my
Focusrite interface,but I think that's what the Kemper is good at.

Well i bought a Blackstar ID30 Amp to use the direct Out for recording,but now i have bought
a PRS Custom 22 guitar and i think it deserves something better.

Yes i was going to buy one at Christmas but stocks were very low.

I asked to be informed when stock arrived,only to be told that they only
had 1 available,and as i was about to place the order,they sold it.

Just wondering if those of you who have had a Kemper are still happy with it after
using it for a while?

I was not specifically complaining about you,I was simply looking for a second opinion on the
demo track I supplied to you.

I hope you read this,I thank you for the link,I have decided to get a Kemper when my dealer has stock,
so I may well return here for some more advice.

So it would seem that for everyone who thinks the Kemper would
not be an improvement,there are others who say it will.

I suppose I should say that my recording that Martin kindly reamped for me
did not go through my effects or echo,and it would be interesting,if it were possible
to borrow a unit to try in my own setup,only then will I get a true comparison
as to whether it would be better or not.

I know that's not realistically possible,but I still have a niggling doubt.

Thank you for your comments,in a way it's good to know that 3 of us are of the same opinion,even
though that means me not getting a Kemper.

In a way I am sorry it didn't work out,I was quite looking forward to getting a Kemper and remaining an active member of this forum,I guess it was not meant to be.

Well I spent the last couple of hours thinking how ungrateful you must think I am after you doing these files for me.
Your comments are a relief and I am glad we have both come to the same conclusion.

The demo's only came to life when I put EQ on them,in fact the same EQ I use for my own files.

I already have Redwirez and Recabinet,which make a big difference to my sound,but the Cab Sim built into the Blackstar can't be turned off,that's in the next software update.

Anyway,it just leaves me to thank you again for your help,and I wish you and all Kemper owners my very best wishes for 2014.

Many thanks for doing these demo's,i am sorry to say that they all sound the same to me.

The 2 that stood out were the Carol Ann OD2-Clean - and the Fender Super C3 Clean 3.

The rest sounded the same as my original dry file but with echo added.

Am i doing something wrong,am i supposed to add my own EQ to the tracks?

I can't believe there is not a massive difference between my track and the Kemper demo.
