I also get a long start up and a lot of noise when shutting down,,,be very nice if they address this,
How long exactly?
Are you using the chickenhead to switch the Profiler on and off?
What kind of noise are you getting at shutdown? -
Sorry i do not have any estimated release date that i could give you.
-
The shut down sound will be gone in the next version of the Profiler operating system.

You can use the lock vol pedal function in the rig menu to make the setting for the volume pedal global for all rigs.
-
The fact that the value for the volume returns to the setting that was stored for the rig when you switch from a wah rig to a non wah rig with linked pedals is not a bug but intended behaviour.
Here is a quote from the manual:
The Profiler automatically prevents volume dips when switching from a “Wah Pedal” Rig to a “Volume Pedal” Rig, so
you will need to reset the pedal after the Rig change by first pressing it to toe position. Once you have done this, you
will be able to smoothly fade the volume back to where you want it. -
Have you checked the tutorial videos on the Kemper website? They deliver a lot of useful information in a very condensed format.

Thanks for the replies guys.
The point being no one has said what is the definitive setting, what is factory default setting?
Geezer
If you had tried the init global function you would see that the default setting is -12dB.

Yes, they already now... since some FW releases already.
I thought, I lowered my requirement by not having the switching in the same rig. That is why I opened a new post. But it is obviously even too buggy for this simple use.
When I reported it first, they told me: "yes, we can reproduce it, it will be fixed, when the programmer has time". I guess, that means: "never".
Now, they are busy with the morphing, than they will be busy with fixing bugs of the morphing or another old bugs, which was reportd by a more important person. After that, they will work on the delays, than fixing bugs with the delays, than they start working (hopefully) on an editor (its 2020 already), than fixing bugs with the editor, or bugs, which were reported by more important people than I am, and after that, they come up, with another fancy idea, wich for sure will be much more important than fixing a bug, that exists since day one...I am still not sure, what makes my use of this simple function so unique, that noone else ever found that. But I learned, I cannot count on the team to fix an obvious, simple bug in a resonable time - Ok, I am just a hobbie player with 10 gigs a year. But I guess, it is just one or two lines in the code and - maybe - an additional "if" selection...
In the meantime (till 2020+), I think I will have to rework my rigs and change to attenuation... Buying a second DVP3 is not an option.
Still, i have to admit, I am really disappointed. These kind of threads pops up quite often and I dont inderstand, why hjschafler keeps telling people, that setting it up is so easy. Noone mentions this bug in these kind of threads. (Maybe they pops up so often, because I am NOT the only one using it in such a rare, strange, unique, seldom, ... way...)I guess, one can read my frustration in this post. Sorry for that, I am not that kind of guy normally... I just know, that contacting support does not make sense, cause they know already - and dont care, until "they have time"....
since you are mentioning my name here (its Scheffler btw)-you are so far still the only one who reported this. Setting up pedals for linking is actually really easy-not sure why you are accusing me of doing something wrong by saying so. I explained to you before that the wah2volume function does not work when you use the pedal as a boost pedal instead of a regular volume pedal and your request has been added to the list of things that our programmers will look at. If you do not want to wait for a solution from the programmers you can use a second pedal or make a copy of the rig that you want to boost and place it on the next slot in the performance and switch to it or use a wah pedal boost in one of the rigs and simply assign the pedal to be just a wah. I would also like to add that we do not categorise our customers into groups of different importance. We take every request and feedback seriously and consider it. Please believe me that the fact that your request does not have the highest priority has nothing to do with you being a hobby player with 10 gigs a year. -
You can reduce the level of the Direct out by choosing Git/Analog and by reducing the clean sens value in the input menu.
-
You can use any expressionpedal to engage the Wah effect if you select bypass@stop as the pedal mode. No extra button is needed.
As soon as you move the pedal the wah will be activated. -
Eine Verbindung über Klinke ist in dem Fall die richtige Wahl. Das Signal am Main Out des Profilers hat Line Pegel.

Your case was forwarded to our developers when you first reported it but i cannot give you any estimation if or when this can or will be fixed.
You really are the only one so far with this type of application.
If using the wha pedal boost is not working as a solution i would suggest that you either use a second pedal to control the volume or wait for the next version of the operating system that will introduce the morphing function, which will allow you to freely assign any combination of continuous parameters to be controlled by the pedal. Maybe that will provide a solution for your application. -
I dont see where the original poster had a problem like the one that you are describing. The process how to link pedals to be used as a wah and a volume pedal is described in great detail in the manual and works as described. Most people have no problem setting it up when they follow the instructions.
Your application is a different one because you want to use the volume pedal as a booster.
To achieve this without using an extra pedal you can use the wah pedal booster. -

To fix this please start the Profiler into Browse mode while pressing down the RIG button until you see "Initialising current rig" in the display.
-
Have you checked the parallel path function in the rig menu?
Try to turn it off to see if it fixes your problem. -
Well thanks for all the replies. I'm still no better off. I've emailed , come here and still no joy....I've heard nothing.......now.....
