Hi,
I attempted to create merged profiles of Groove Tubes Soul-O-Single, but apparently it's one of the amps fot which Kemper doesn't detect a Direct signal and leaves the cab on. Or has anyone else succeeded?

I don't think there's any way to do this without external gear.
My solution has been to use a stereo 4x12 cab. Connect Kemper to the other side, tube amp to the other side, and a/b between inputs after profiling.
I did that for a couple of times, then concluded that Kemper will sound 99% the same as the amp anyway so I don't bother anymore
Prsgary, thanks for your kind words.
The realistic tone you hear in my versions is the beauty of 3.0 direct profiling
Have you also profiled the Lead channel? If not, please do - I have the Grandmeister 36 and use the Lead channel a ton. I am brand new to Kemper so I'm not qualified to get into profiling myself just yet, thus my request. I'll try it when I am not such a newbie.
I have profiled all channels of GrandMeister. Search my alias on Rig Exchange. These are merged 3.0 profiles.
Bump.
Direct profiles of AC30, anyone? Or the like? I haven't found any so far.
I use two cabs with a boss a- b switch and its working perfect, no problems at all
Thanks Dorrus! Still to doublecheck, do you use it with a Powerhead or Powerrack?
These are very good, both with a real cab and virtual. Thank you very much, Thumas!
Hi,
Now that 3.0 direct profiles are giving us great tones on real cabs, I was wondering if I could use two different cabs with my Powerhead. It'd be great to have, say closed back 4x12 for crunch&hi-gain, and open back 2x12 for clean.
Now, would it be safe to use an A/B-box to switch between the cabs? Not sure if any A/B boxes are really designed for speaker level signals, or whether the power amp of the Powerhead could break because of switching.
I haven't tried this with 3.0, but had similar problems with on EL84 based amp on 2.8 pre-release, while other amps profiled fine.
Yep. Powerhead + direct profiles here. No worries, matches any amp.
Naah, not selling. As long as I have a couple of good amps, I can keep on creating my own direct amp profiles that are optimized for my own taste, and for the guitars and cabs I use. In fact I might buy more amps for that purpose. Can't count on other people in creating my own sound
How do you 'open a support ticket'?
I use a Kemper Powerhead + THD 2x12 with stock speakers This cab sounds really good, kind of halfway between a closed back 4x12 and a regular 2x12, which I think is excellent with Kemper as you can get convincing sounds for a lot of styles, from say Fender Deluxe or Vox AC30 to Marshall and Mesa. In addition it's really lightweight but sturdy and high quality with no rattling whatsoever. Looks good with the Kemper as well
For my purposes, a perfect live cab.
Hi,
Now that 3.0 is out, I shared some profiles I did for testing purposes in Rig Exchange. These are based on all channels of Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister and Marshall JVM401H.
I'm using the same THD 2x12 cab miced with an SM57 setup for all profiles, with a Behringer DI100 as a DI box.
A couple of disclaimers:
Just search "axewave" in Rig Exchange and you'll find them. Feedback is welcome.
Enjoy!

+1
...and while we're at it, why don't we add a possibility to add a few dB of gain at the same time. You'll often want that for leads as well as volume boost.
That's a good idea!
Yes!
I gigged with 2.8 tech preview with some merged profiles last Friday. Oh man, it sounded great!
I was running some Marshall JVM410 profiles I created for live purposes, with THD 2x12. I had used the same cab when profiling.
Thus, the sound I had on both on stage and FOH was the same as with a real JVM+THD. Only a bit better, because I was able to adjust stage volume to my liking without affecting the tone or FOH volume, and there's no bleed from other instruments in my FOH signal.
All that, plus Kemper effects and occasional other rigs for specific purposes.
Kemper 3.0 with a cab of your choice, in my mind, will be the ultimate live rig!
Can't recommend this, as I haven't tested it, but it'd be interesting to see if ZT Lunchbox cab would work with Kemper. At 3kg, it's ultimate low weight at least.
