Here is what I do. Find a profile that has more gain than you need and the kind of amp you want to use for your style. Then on that rig turn back the gain so it cleans up but maybe has a little grit if you hit it hard. Then dial in your OD and enjoy.
For me I like JCM800's and Fender '65 Bassman rigs from TAF and MBritt for a lot of the stuff I do. I did find that some pedals just sound better with certain rigs, just like real tube amps, go figure. That is why I have five that I use on my board.

I do two things. I have a Gibson cable ( http://store.gibson.com/gibson…ent-cables-25-foot-cable/ ) that shuts off when you unplug. D'Addario/Planet waves also make a cable with a switch. I also use my TC Polytune 2 pedal, when I activate it it mutes the input.

I will add a bit to what others have said.
Try different rigs of the JCM800, as the clean will not sound as good if you are increasing the gain. I find it better to reduce gain on a over saturated amp profile than to increase gain and get a good sound. Also maybe try a different cab with the rig, as sometimes it's that simple.
If you find that the amps just do not have enough distortion with your single coil guitar, you can increase the distortion sense to get the gain you expect. The Kemper does act differently with single coils and humbuckers as you would expect. You can also add a boost in one of the effect slots A-D to get what you are after. -
Im only taking am educated guess but, I think the dual switch may refer to being able to use an external dual switch for looper functions without having to first hit looper button....OR I could be wrong in which case we will need someone official to clarify.
That would be good since it did not function correctly.

I use pedals in front, mostly OD
Echo Plex, MXR Bonnamassa FET driver, Ibanez Mini Tube Screamer, Fulltone 2B and a Strymon Blue Sky that I run both in front and after my Kemper.I have a Voodoo Labs PX-8 and Ground Control that I use for midi switching of my pedals. Works great.
Will post a pic

My Fender 57 deluxe and my Fender EC Twinolux are two that are keepers. I am still looking for the right Marshall. I do have a couple of 1w amps (Offset and JMP). The mini Jubille is interesting.

I know he was using a Digitech 2101 preamp for awhile. So the Kemper makes sense. He also likes using two delays for his sound, so the recent update should be right up his alley.

EQ-Chorus-Reverb
thats how I would go, unless you are trying EQ out/in something in the other effects. Then Chorus-Reverb-EQI am curious why you are using a dedicated EQ pedal.

Pat Metheny is one of my idols , this is fantastic.

I have tried the Gibson Axis Alex Lifeson with piezo, while you get a decent jangle it's still not an acoustic.

Looking good, welcome. You should be able to find some profiles on the rig exchange for free or buy some from Mbritt or The Amp Factory. There are plenty to get your '80's Rock on. If you find the right rigs, you really do not have to tweak anything more than the bass, mid, treble to get you going. Just like any tube amp.
Have fun!

I duplicate my cabinet and floor board, one for rehearsal and one for home. Then all I need to do is plug in my Kemper. I will probably pick up another Kemper to leave at rehearsal and also serve as a backup unit.

I use iBooks and just copy and paste the lyrics into it. I can even make notes if needed
Not the best program but it's free, it reads PDFs as well and I keep my Kemper resources on it as well -
Well you could do what I do and run the Voodoo Labs PX8 as well along with my GCP, this way I can control my external stomp boxes and Kemper with a single button push. Most of my stomp boxes do not have midi and I need a switching system for them. The bonus for me is I can use my pedal board with my tube amps as well, so it serves a dual purpose.

I was just having fun with everyone but we have seen some good responses and interesting ways of adapting cases. Good on everyone.
i don't miss having the LEDs on some knobs as I have a rack conditioner that has front lights, so seeing on stage is not an issue.

What other all in one effects would you be talking about?
I would take a Digitech GSP1101 or T.C. Gmajor 2, if I need more effects in a rack unit. Personally I would do a couple of Strymon (Big Sky, Deco) pedals to compliment what the Kemper has. -
Seems like a waste for just effects, there are better dedicated effects from other products if you feel the need.
