Just reading this thread again from the beginning! I was a UNO user who upgraded to remote. No comparison IMO, TOTAL integration! What amazed me is the number of people who seem to think the price is an issue. How many guitars do you have, and how much did each cost? Puts things in perspective!

I'm another who would prefer a 1-10 scale. Surely the DB reading is subjective to the volume set by the external poweramp? An A/B choice or checkbox would be a good idea I think?

@MCVA444 Thats the fella!

Zappledan! Spot on! Lifelong Mesa user. There's a good youtube rig rundown vid of him in Texas. Takes you right through the signal chain!

Love my Marshall 4x10's. Sound great with the Kemper/Matrix setup. Had them years... almost vintage now!
-
Its worth the wait.... and is THE way to go for purchase! I waited ages for one to come up 2nd user. They're just not out there!
-
@Ash even has stereo beds! \m/ \m/

Connect the remote to the kemper before powering on! They'll boot one after the other!

Yep! This is correct! If you want it to act as general volume though, put it after the amp. I have mine post amp, pre delay, then the tail off isn't effected by the volume change!

Awesome! Wise words indeed! Couldn't have said it better myself Should be a preface to the college course!

With you! Sorry, misunderstood the question!

I always thought the front input took precendence irrespective of what was plugged in where? You will also see numerous references on here to the fact that the front input is the better input to use? perhaps an A/B box is the way to go?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I run an unpowered kemper to a Matrix GT800 (in stereo) and left/right to some Marshall 4x10's. My question is: do I crank the poweramp, and control volume from the Kemper master volume, or crank the master vol, and control volume on the matrix? Anyone any thoughts as to which is better/better sounding? Just curious!
Please & thankyou

Have you tried booting the kemper with the USB stick plugged in? It will recognize it eventually, mine is a little temperamental too!
-
Don't try to unzip the kaos.bin file, just copy this to the update folder on the USB & plug into the Kemper. It will recognise the update file and walk you through the update. I usually also backup the Kemper to the USB before updating 'just in case"!

Was in a similar predicament, just had to bite the bullet and buy new from Kemper. Came in no time! Do it! You wont regret it!

@Ash, thats pretty much why I bought the unit itself! I wasn't concerned that it sounded like X amp through Y cabinet, just that it sounded good to me!... and it does! At least to my ears! Good sound = good gig to me, irrespective of the audience size! Mind you, I'm a bit treble deaf these days, probably with standing in front of guitar cabs all my adult life!

+1 for the Line6 G90. Rackmountable (over the kemper rack) very robust, metal casing. No problems!

Wasn't that the prelude to Doc McGee's peace festivals, with Bon Jovi headlining around the globe? Remember watching the footage from Russia live!

Awesome! The "Blackout" album was a pivotal point in my heavy metal upbringing! Previous to this, it was all about AC/DC!
