I've used the AD200 profile mentioned and it's nice, but it doesn't touch the original AD200 in my opinion. I did an ABY test not too long ago and the actual amp sounded a lot better. Might do a profile of it if I'd be able to get some mics together and actually find out how to profile, as I haven't done that yet.

Looks like a Joe Bonamassa signature.

The SG in my avatar has been my go-to for about everything for a couple of years. Most of the more expensive guitars I've owned since have gone because I didn't play them as much as the SG. I also have a Les Paul Classic sitting in the case because of that reason, but it's actually a really nice guitar.

Nice rig @strabes.
Is that a Hot Cat? Digging the pedalboard. Seems like quite a big show also, what band do you play in/artist do you play for? -
Just got a power amp and cab on the cheap for live usage.

You could look for JC-120 profiles as well. I believe there is a stock profile of the JC-120 that's pretty good.

The Bulb profiles made from the Axe-FX by a user named Justin are great in my opinion. Lovely clean, brutal rhythm with clarity and a nice lead sound. The rhythm profile is so good paired with my guitar that I turn my Kemper on daily to play with it, even if it's only for 10 minutes.

The hand surely matters. However, it's always your ear that defines how good your tone really is. This thing could be fantastic with hands-on experience, but this video just doesn't do it for me. It's not like the Kemper video's I saw the first that made me believe I could actually get rid of an amplifier and my entire pedalboard and still be satisfied.
The rhythm sound on 2:12 is quite nice, not my style of tone, but it does the thing well. The 5:15 cleans could be reproduced with any modeller, I think. It's the stereo imaging that does a lot for that tone as well.
But hey, to each its own. This thing probably won't be for me, but then again, Fender guitars aren't my thing either. It's good that there are options out there and that you have the choice. It's not the 50's anymore, luckily for us.

I honestly think that purely sound-wise, Native's Guitar Rig can rival almost anything on the market; even the Kemper. It doesn't feel as genuine, which is why my Kemper is still on my desk and why it'll probably stay here for a long time to come, but in a recording and with a skilled hand (which I don't consider to be myself, btw), I don't think Guitar Rig would do worse than an Axe FX or a Kemper.
Now on the other hand, I don't feel like purely based on what you hear, you'd believe it's an amplifier. Of course I can't do a blindfold test, because it's already spoiled, but it just sounds digital to me in a way the Kemper (and in a lesser degree the Axe FX) doesn't. I don't think I'd think it was an actual amp in a blindfold test, which is something I look for in a good modeller.

It could be just me, but the sounds in that video don't make me want to have it, really. I think it sounds like a VST plugin and it sounds 80's, but that could be the guy playing. Not my cup of tea at all.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunate.

Yeah, I know all that, I was just wondering if I can map the "next rig/previous rig" to bank up/down on the FCB with the Uno4Kemper.
-
I have KRK RP5's. Deliver great tones with the Kemper. Most, if not all, of the pro profiles (TAF etc) sound awesome on them. They go ridiculously loud as well, but sound great on low volumes too.
-
On this subject, can you assign the bank up/down buttons to just switch to the next rig in browse mode without screwing over performance mode?
-
I didn't invent that, if you weren't aware. SRV was the inspiration.
-
I use a clean Fender Deluxe profile with the Green Scream stomp twice, running completely flat. Lower the tone on your strat and it's pretty close in my opinion.
-
The Kemper deals with it well, in my experience.
-
I know and work with hundreds of guitarists and guess what, they all use different delay/overdrive/reverb/modulation pedals (although for live playing no reverb pedal is needed).
What does this tell us, the Kemper is just one set of pedals, if every guitarist has a different opinion and taste when it comes to overdrive, modulation, delay pedals, etc, then it's 100% impossible for the Kemper to satisfy everyone's tastes.
Find me two guitarists with identical pedalboards on the internet, I don't think it's possible.
I bet you can find at least 2 people rocking the TU-2/3, Ibanez TS-9 and Dunlop standard Crybaby Wah. But I'm well aware that wasn't what you meant.
I like most of the effects, really. I don't ever use the drive pedals and the modulations and delays are great if you fool around with them a little.

Naa...
- stay on 2.x.x until 3.0 is mature;
- there are certain rigs you won't be able to use until you're on 3.0: ignore them for the moment;
- you can go on profiling your amps exactly like you did before, if ever;
- play music that makes you happy
HTHStep 4 really should be step 1 though, unless your Kemper doesn't boot.

On my Profiler I can get rid of this by switching a couple of times forth and back between Tuner and Browser mode
HTH
Yes, it mutes perfectly when I go from browser to tuner once, but it just drives me nuts.
