Yeah I'm on the international store. I see the 419 until the checkout screen where it becomes 599 plus 50 euros for shipping.
Just sent an email to Kemper to have things explained/cleared up.
Yarzo, that's incorrect. Just tried placing an order through the international store and my total cost to Canada is 649 euros.
I see the 419 plus 50 for shipping and then it turns to 599 plus 50 euros for shipping at the checkout screen.
no, the international store is for everybody OUTSIDE the USA

That's strange. I work in music retail in Canada and we get all our kemper stuff from the US distributor. Not sure why I should pay VAT and in Euros when we always get our Kempers from the US...
I'll just wait to get it through the US distributor if I have t pay in Euros as that would cost me quite a bit more than paying in US dollars.
Well if you look at this way it seems like more than 70 percent of the KPA owners polled have purchased the KR and a bunch more thinking about it. If that's representative of the KPA owners at large I'm sure Kemper will be happy.
I think it would be odd for Canadians to use the international store which is geared towards European orders and charges VAT vs. using the U.S. Store (which is what I did) that charged me an extra $50 for shipping.
Just bought the D Pack. Can't wait to try these out!
I've used his pack 1 and 2 almost exclusively on my band's latest album.
I find the Tannoy Reveal 402 to sound much better if you're looking for a small and inexpensive speaker. The presonus Eris also sounds quite a bit nicer than the M-Audio in my opinion.
I understand the profiler's green scream was modelled after a Maxon and according to CK is indistinguishable form the modelled unit.
I believe it. I have a locally made 808 clone and I can get it and the KPA's tube screamer to sound and respond EXACTLY the same.
I`ll be profiling the amps once 3.0 comes out officially.
It will be nice to get perfect cab separation as I and many others use guitar cabs live.
Sorry for the delay but this is still happening. I`ll keep you all posted.
Looks like the profiling is happening this coming Wednesday. I should have the profiles up by Thursday.
Really looking forward to spending some time with these amazing amps!
update - I might not be able to get the profiles done this week. Might be pushed back to next week depending on my friend's availability this week.
I'll keep you guys posted.
I plan on doing the profiles with a nice strat, Les Paul and a Colliings 335 type guitar and I won't be adding any post EQ or effects.
A friend of mine owns both a Bludotone High Plains Drifter and a Two Rock Kimock head.
He's offered to let me profile them both sometime this week. Exact date TBD.
I'll likely have them running through either a 1x12 with an EV12L or a 2x12 with ASW KTS70 speakers.
For mics it'll probably be a combo of an SM57 and a Royer.
Let me know if you have any specific requests or questions. I'll make sure to let you know when the profiles are uploaded.
I still think the midi moose seems like the best option for you. You have access to any 5 rigs at a time and an up and down button to access another 5 rigs per bank.
Great pedal, well built, runs on a 9v battery if you want and is reasonably priced.
I use a Tech 21 Midi Moose. Works very well and is INCREDIBLY easy to program. That and my Mission expression is all I need.
Used a bunch of pack 2 profiles in the studio today. (Little Walter 50 Crunch, Dumble clean and the Divided by 13 JRT 9/15 EL84 mostly)
Got TERRIFIC results with very minimal tweaking using a Les Paul an SG and an Eastman T186MX hollow body with Fralin P92s.
I generally find Mike's profiles to be nicely EQ'ed for both direct recording and through a 2x12 closed back with V30s via the power amp in the KPA.
If they are a little dark, I add treble. Too bassy, roll down the bass a little.
No big deal.
Just picked up pack 2. (already a big fan of pack 1 for studio use)
Can't wait to try pack 2 in the studio this weekend.
Thanks again for your great work!
Shaun
Really excellent tones in those clips. Right up my alley.
Looking forward to getting my hands on those profiles and using them for live and studio work.
