Just ask Tyler. He sent me exactly this Profiles, too.

thank you all very much, especially paults for the hints - much appreciated!

thanks guys - hmm, yes that could be the solution to experiment more with the cabinet.
anyway, here's the sound I'm after:

I don't know fender amps that well, I just came across this sound (see above) & really liked it.

hi Folks
I organized my rigs & so far I'm very satisfied with what is possible with the kemper (I don't have much clue of the Technology behind it, but it sounds very good ;))
however, I'm still looking for great sounding profiles of a Fender 1969 tremolux - I searched in rig Manager but didn't find anything suitable.
any hint / help is welcome!
btw: I'm not against paying for a really great Profile - so if you know (ie from your experience..) a great (Commercial) Profile I'd be glad to learn about it.
thanks in advance!

just a quick update for all who may be interested in the Topic:
IT WORKS!
..here's some more Detail:
- OS 2.8
- CabMaker 2.0
- I made the Impulses with mixIR2 (redwirez). it can be used with any IR (ie not just the ones from redwirez)the Sound is very, very Close to the one I have in cubase (ie with the IR loaded in there instead of the kemper). I would say it's 90-95% the same Sound - to make it short, it's usable in a professional manner. if it gets even closer/better, all the better. But I definitely could live with it how it is now. btw- mono or Stereo IRs won't make a diffrence in Sound.
anyway, thank you very much to all who helped here! -
solved it - I tried some more (very old ones, in this case) USB sticks, and one of them was working instantly.
so if anybody experiences the same Problem: just try a bunch of USB sticks

Persist and you will be rewarded
thank you - I see some similarities to the Music industry in General... -
hi Folks
I just updated to OS 2.8 (experimental). since this update any USB stick I tried so far doesn't get recognized by the kemper. it does not Show the 'external storage' hint on the Display.
here's a list of what I tried so far:
- formating the memorystick on my PC (FAT32, 32kb blocks), both the 'fast procedure' as well as disabled this Feature (win7)
- a completely new, unused memorystick
- connect the stick in tuner mode, browser mode
- connect the stick when the kemper was turned off (and the turned on)...all with no success.
some more observations:
- I own the kemper since a couple of days. I updated the OS to the latest official Version 2.7.x and used the memorystick with no Problems whatsoever.
- if I plug in the enterly new stick I just bought I see the light on it flashes in the very beginning. however, after this nothing happensI see there seem to be similar Problems in other threads such as...
http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…Thread/17983-Usb-problem/?
http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…-USB-Stick-At-All-Solved/?I read through them, but had no success.
I would assume since the Problem just occured after the OS upgrade, it would have something to do with that.
however, now that no USB stick seem to be working, I can't even downgrade the OS to see if it would be any diffrent.any help? thanks much in advance!

EXCELLENT!! THANK YOU!
I didn't know that a) CabMaker 2.0 exists (on the 'standard' download page it's still v. 1.0.1) and b) the new Firmware is already available (testing).
I'll check it out right now - thanks a lot again!

The OP is using v2.7.4, and a studio profile with the Cab turned off. Cabmaker 1.01 should work correctly.
just to be clear:
- I turned the cabinet section off when I used the cabinet IR within cubase (which sounds good as you will hear in the mp3)
- I turned the cabinet section on when I loaded in the imported .kipr IR in the kemper (which sounds bad and drastically diffrent compared to the 'IR in cubase' signal chain)thank you for taking the time to answer so far! I hope there's a solution for this issue.

Exactly - new Cab maker - response is 1.32 kb long and old is 858 b long. So i'm assume you have new CabMaker version?Did you have DI profile? I will do spectrum test tomorrow- is too late for that for me;)
the CabMaker version is the latest one, v. 1.0.1.
I used it with a regular profil in the kemper (ie a rig of a profiled rectifier, and simply loaded the imported IR into the cabinet section)
I don't know if the lenght/size of the file has anything to do with the problem - it also may be that it's simply because it's format got changed (I don't know, though)
-
What version firmware is in your Kemper?
the latest firmware that is available for downloadWhat kind of Kemper profile are you using:
A regular profile with the Cab turned off?
A DI profile taken from a line out of an amplifier?
A v2.8 Direct Profile made without a speaker cabinet?
I used a regular profile with the cab turned off
...could this be the problem?I used the latest version of CabMaker (ie v. 1.0.1)

thank you. hmm...:
- there is no additional FX in cubase. the IRs are in stereo, loaded into the mixIR2 (redwirez) on a stereo channel
- the kemper mp3 was recorded in stereo from the audio output of the kemper. however I understand what you're saying (ie I would assume the kemper with the loaded IR is mono)
- I also thought about a stereo/mono problem and tried the whole procedure with mono IRs. same problem (sound-wise)
- the IR is a combination/mix of several IRs, mixed in redwriez' 'mixIR2' plugin in cubase. I also tried it out with just one single mono IR (ie not a mixed one). same problem.- did you load the IR in your DAW and compare it with the .kipr file loaded into the kemper?
thank you again!
martin -
Can you post that IR from your example? I will test it.
sure, here it is:
http://we.tl/i4bZrofyBNthe Folder contains the following:
- the original IR as Wav (can be loaded in an IR plugin in cubase, etc)
- the same IR, converted as .kipr so it can be imported into kemper (I used CabMaker)
- an mp3 named 'IR in cubase': this is how it sounds when I record the kemper (cabinet section turned off) in cubase, and load the IR in the insert of cubase
- an mp3 named 'kemper internatl': this is how it sounds when I load the converted IR / .kipr file into the kemper and use it as the cabinet sectionthank you very much!
-
You must be aware that you IR must be sampled with 44.1 kHz
all IRs are 44.1 kHz and 24 bit. I also checked if there is any difference when using mono or Stereo IRs. the Problem remains

hello
here's my Situation:
I'd like to Import a cabinet IR into kemper. so I did by using CabMaker.
the result is a drastically diffrent Sound when I load in the imported IR in the kemper, compared to the Sound of the original IR.if I understood this Topic right:
http://www.kemper-amps.com/for…t-cabmaker-to-work-right/?..the Problem is that CabDriver is automatically ON when the cabinet section of the kemper is turned off.
However, when a cabinet IR is now imported & loaded in the kemper (ie the cabinet section of the kemper is ON), the CabDriver is OFF. which will, according to the Topic/link above, will result in a drastically diffrent frequency curve.-btw: this is the Setup how I tested/compared it:
A: kemper (cabinet section turned OFF) - cubase - IR of cabinet in the insert of cubase
B: kemper (cabinet section turned ON, with the converted IR from cubase as the cabinet)QUESTION: is there any way for a Workaround..? I mean the CabMaker would be pretty much useless if one can't convert & load in external IRs, respectively if they Sound drastically diffrent.
it would be just really great to be able to build our one cabs in e.g. mixIR2 from redwirez, and have them available in the kemper (..this is the idea of the CabMaker btw, or am I wrong..?)
any help is much appreciated!

argh - my fault. I must have overseen. pretty obvious - thank you!
