Rig manager offers only 4.2.2... Not public beta. I succefeully done it manualy and enjoyed the new delays :). But still got the section LOOP DISTORDION DELAYS
-
Got 4.0.6. as I expected.
HOPE I CAN UPDATE and WONT MIND IT. -
THANK YOU. I will ASAP, I'm just in work, I will post when I get home.

I know mate.I didn't realize it a few days ago.
I will write it again, in case if somebody will solve the same...
I noticed few new DELAYS in common DELAY section (GREEN), but I also got NEW silver blue sectio LOOP DISTORTION where is about that 50 DELAYS, bud none of them have active controls...
That's why I was asking if these DEMONSTRATINS delays (like BISON, MOOG etc... should be also GREEN and fully controlable -
I just doubt about it . Got the last FW before 5.0 (probably).
-
So, after proper uploading the demonstration DELAYS to my KPA I have found new FX type - LOOP DISTORTION where are all this delays. They got blue color and no access to any controls. IS IT OK???

I see that in manual:
You might notice audio clicks when you turn the “Return level”; this is the analog RETURN INPUT stage switching
the level in the analog domain, to ensure the best signal-to-noise ratio. This feature allows you to capture any
signal level, from the softest microphone to the hottest studio level output. Don’t worry too much about achieving
a perfect volume match; during the profiling procedure the “Return Level” will be fine-tuned automatically to
match the unity level of the Profiler.THANKS and my apologies. KPA keep surprized my again and again.

In manual is also written that Kemper is not supporting PHANTOM POWER +48V which leads to chance there IS a preamp (but no for condenser mics). But I would expect some notice at least about possibility to hook up directly dynamic or ribbon microphones.
Maybe it is realy unfortunatelly written and I am CONFUSED. Same like my friend. -
OF COURSE I know what is mic pre. That there is missing some picture on Kemper diagram doesn't mean that ther IS a preamp. If you look into to the manual and description, you'll find this:
"The RETURN INPUT can be chosen as an analog,
studio-level input for reamping purposes. Either the TRS input or the
symmetrical XLR input are available as the RETURN INPUT. Read the next
chapter carefully to learn more about the dedicated reamping features"Nothing about MIC PRE.
I simply think, that some users consider the XLR connector automaticaly as MIC PRE which is not true.Anyway, Kemper HQ could clarify this or I can test it when I am in studio.
MAYBE THERE IS a PREAMP but it must be autoswitching line/mic level which is realy strange

Well, to clarify THE KEMPER HAS A BUILT-IN PREAMP DUDE.
Hi again, after some time, I am still not convinced that Kemper realy has buildt-in microphone preamp. With my friend and also Kemper owner, we both doubt about it and we did search in user manual. We found nothing about microphone preamplifier. Feature like that should be mentioned, and theres no discuss f.e. about quality of this mic pre. Simply, there is no one.
If we overlooked something... LET US KNOW!!! -
You can delete profiles stored in Kemper directly from Rig Manager. And you can ADD too. This couldnt be done in previous versions of OS and Rig manager. But NOW, its great!
-
Kemper has a mic input? Fine. I didnt know that :), funny. Thanks!
-
You can always download the factory pack. Generally - just try to browse through all Kemper site (not only forum) and gain some infos. Manager is great, you can create different sets with files and arrange it as you wish. Very useful.
-
EVERY MICROPHONE NEEDS PREAMP DUDE. Thats why the sound is so bad (if he didnt use it) . MD421 is great microphone but you need also good sounding preamplifier, without it, forget about profiling.

Here is a thread contains comercial profiles:
https://www.kemper-amps.com/fo…Commercial-Announcements/? -
I don't think that list exists. All free profiles you will probably find on exchange, but it is complete jungle. Anyway, I have just 2 or 3 FREE profiles in my kemper cause I didn't like the others much.
The comercial profiles you must find in google or check forum posts.Good ones for few bucks are
* Michael Britt
* Top Jimi
* SoundsideI don't like anymore
* TAF (The Amp Factory) but Andy is cool guyYOU CAN TRY free packs from M. Britt a Top Jimi and youll see
-
2) Can anyone recommend the "best" (subjective I know) profiles (free or not) for heavy stuff?It depends on style you prefer, but I CAN'T recommend 95% of factory and exchange rigs cause they sounds very poor compared to profesional profiles.
JUST try to buy some cheap packs from MICHAL BRITT or TOP JIMI and you should feel the difference. Anyway, it take some time until you find the right ones for your demands. -
What kind of microphone preamp do you use??? Cause it sounds like you connected microphone direcly into Kemper, sorry
