I have a Kemper stage and two expression pedals in a custom made flightcase. My requirement is simple; I wish to run a live stereo rig in small venues where there is no PA with the exception of vocals. I have previously used a Kemper Power Kabinet but despite the adequate volume, I found the sound to be too small and all encompassing. I am currently using a pair of Bugera V22 valve combos through the Bugera SEND, so everything is controlled inside the Kemper, but I do have some questions regarding this. The Bugeras when using the send, obviously bypass the tone controls and preamps and provide a clean sound with a decent amount of headroom. The Bugera speakers are designed for guitar, but are pretty full range - not that dissimilar to an EV speaker. So I would value some advice on whether to turn on OR off speaker emulations, and the optimum way to set the Kemper up to work with valve power amps. I have not given up on the Kemper Kone, and am seriously considering putting a pair of Kones in my Zilla Super Fatboy 2x12 cab and running it with a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700. Any advice or tips would be gratefully received, especially from users who have had direct experience with these sort of scenarios. Many thanks.

Recently purchased new and put together for a tour that has regretably been cancelled. The above has been barely used at home and is in immaculate condition. Total cost new over £2,600. Would be prepared to sell the brand new Powered Kabinet separately. More photos available upon request. Please contact to discuss price, etc.

I have just bought a Kemper Stage and a Dunlop DVP3 Volume X expression pedal. I generally play small gigs where only the vocals go through the PA so am using a clean amp for stage volume. My question is this: do I really need two expression pedals? I would prefer to have just the one on my board. Mostly I will be just using it for volume, but occasionally may use it for wah and morph, but not at the same time as volume. I would like to cut down on board size and expense. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

lespauled. I agree that the Kemper is a brilliant and intuitive device to use and that is one of the many reasons I moved from the Axe FXII. But many people have their Kemper's in racks for recording or touring purposes and it isn't always practical or possible to have easy access to the front panel in these situations. I am friends with a number of professional producers and touring musicians who have expressly said that they would welcome the "additional" benefits that an editor would bring. I am of the personal opinion that a software editor can only enhance the product, and I for one won't have to get on my hands and knees when I'm recording, to change a delay time, etc.

I have enabled this and run check for updates and nothing happens?!
-
Thanks. It would have been helpful if that had been made clear in the release notes!

Kemper have announced a new 4.2 update which can be loaded into the Kemper via Rig Manager 1.6 which I have downloaded and installed today. There is no explanation on how to do this though. I have clicked on check for software updates and nothing. My software seems to be talking to my hardware and I can change profiles in Rig Manager which is reflected in the Kemper. I'm baffled! Clearer communication would be welcome from Kemper.

Thanks for the tips. I will experiment further but will also look at all the settings for the two profiles I want to morph to get as close as possible.

I love my Kemper and have enjoyed using the morphing feature. However, what I would really like to be able to do is to morph between two different profiles. I am not suggesting morphing between two completely different profiles, but, for example, two Michael Britt profiles of the same amplifier, through the same cabinet and with the same mic set-up. Going from a cleanish sound to a pretty overdriven sound would be immense. Simply taking the cleanish sound and then dialling in gain for the morphed sound is just not as good. I wonder if this is theoretically possible to do, and if so, is it likely to be in a future update?

I would be appreciative of any advice for recording killer bass guitar. I have a Kemper lunchbox, a UAD Apollo Twin Duo interface and I'm recording into Logic.Pro X. There seem to be numerous ways; using a direct signal, using the Kemper bass profiles, a mix between the two, or adding something like a Sansamp bass driver. Any help cutting through the confusion would be very welcome!

Thanks for this. I found that the Apollo reverted to Mic rather than Line when connected with XLR connectors and Line option was unavailable. I spoke to UA and they said that the unit will default to Mic when connected with XLRs. So I have ordered XLR to TRS Jack leads which will then cause the unit to default to Line. I will report back!

Thanks for this. Apparently you have to use balanced (ideally) 1/4 inch jacks at the apollo end. If you use and XLR it automatically defaults to Mic. Have just ordered XLR to TRS 1 meters cables!

I have recently taken delivery of a UA Apollo Twin Duo and have connected the XLR outs of the Kemper to the inputs of the Apollo. No sound! i have sound coming from the main out jacks but not the XLR. It's driving me nuts. Fairly certain that the Apollo is fine as other sources working. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks. The MAudio is difficult to obtain as it has been discontinued for some time now so I've ordered the Lindy and a couple of cables. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for this. I wanted to record digitally so I could physically free up the analog inputs for other functions. Do have any suggestions for convertor boxes as I didn't get much sense out of UAD tech support! I was looking at the attached but didn't know whether it was suitable?
