haha ok
I also just bought a 5150 profile!
Will test it on my 8 -
i Cant believe i missed this thread, this is the one profile pack i dont have , its all your fault for posting in the wrong section LOL,
okay YES AND NO..what i mean by that is Frank and Lars (Deadlightstudio) did a specific profile for an 8 string
called TH FK SLAM DAM 8-string - 2016-04-29 22-38-09.kipr (Free)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r271…4-29%2022-38-09.kipr?dl=0Sorry for that, but I did post it in the right thread afterwards :b
I guess I understand what you are trying to say
Thanks, I will try the profile you have provided! -
Why don't you use some of the built-in pedals from your Kemper? Those can boost your sound tremendously
And maybe try another profile...I guess there are many for that kind of music -
you could boost the bass and then hold amp parameter and increase definition to 10 for total tightness .
boost bass on a 8 string profile? You mean on the amp?
and what do you mean with "hold amp parameter"? (english is not my mother tongue) -
the REAL questions is...what kind of music do you play and what is the tuning of your guitar?

Hi guys. Short question.
Due I am playing an 8 string I am going to need that super tight 0-0-0-0 . So I found this quote on ergnerds.com:
"Most of you are probably going to want to know why and how these profiles are working better with lower tunings than others.
The answer is simple: We used an 8-string guitar for the refining process. Using a guitar with an extended range enabled the Kemper to learn how the amps we profiled would handle the lower frequency range of the 7th and 8th string." (ergnerds.com/kemper-profiles/)Is this true? Will the profile be any different when profiling/refining with a 7-8 string compared to a 6-string for low tunings?

Damn, I guess that's the wrong section. closed.

Hm...interesting indeed, although it won't give you the playability of nice guitars. So you still have to spend some money on at least ONE guitar

Hi guys!
I play guitar in a band called SIN EATER in Austria. We are playing 8-strings tuned to drop E
and until now I was using an interface, the palmer macht 402 power amp and my MacBook running TSE X50. Works great, although it
always takes some time to set up before playing a show and I needed a lot of cables. So when we were recording our first EP about a year ago, we used a Kemper in the studio and I really fell in love with it. The TSE can sound awesome
but the Kemper is just top notch. So due my recent drop out of university and my new job I was finally able to afford this gem
Received it yesterday and I am using it now with the palmer macht in a rack case and the midi moose...and it looks stunning!
In a few days I will profile my favourite amp, the EVH 5153S, with a friend of mine - I am super excited!!
Okay..thanks for reading. I guess that's it!
