I noticed that when you play with a studio profile on a cab it's usually louder than a direct or merged profile.
That can give you a "false" feeling of power but the direct or merged profile is still the best IMO, at least if you want the original amp's sound. If you don't care about that, well, that's your choice, it will sound good anyway.
The pack has been updated with two brand new profiles cooked with these two fantastic pieces of gear : Horizon Devices Precision Drive & Darkglass B7K (+ SVT).

The Kemper is fundamentally the same concept. You choose an amp, then add whatever effects and tone shaping you want.
With the Kemper the amp tones are fully formed snapshots of an amp with certain settings. While you can tweak these drastically, the tweaking isn't exactly like the copied amp. If you want a clean and a heavy amp distortion sound you'd use 2 profiles normally, rather than using the gain knob (which doesn't mimic the gain control on the amp). It's easy.
That's why it's interesting to profile an amp with neutral settings too.
Yep @Crimson Ghost 51666 L IBZ808 57 came up as best for heart work and Buried dreams for me, using a Loomis 7 with Seymour Butts black outs. (bridge) Some good leads in this pack man despite i think you have refined on a bridge since you dont have neck PU?
I got a big surprise since i run 2 kempers at the same time with 2 mission stereo cabs (and drink 2 beers a once, since its stereo stereo) When i put on the CHROM pitch pedal you have on ONE kemper, (leave it out on second rig/kemper) i nearly shit my self as it gives me a magic harmony on the second kemper!!, like the carcass 2nd guitarist man
WHOA! I thought some one else snuck into the room man. Why is this ? Because its making a sound from one kemper as a different pitch right? Excuse me for second ....BURP!! Seriously i never seen any thing like it, i switch on kemper A with CHROM pedal on, just sounds like normal lead i switch the B kemper on (switch off A) sound like normal lead , i switch BOTH ON (with just the CHROM pedal on A) and then there is like a second guitarist for leads man...WTF!! I wish i could record to show you guys, its loose like a 2nd guitar man nothing like a normal harmony pedal!!
GREAT effect man!! I can play the dam intro [leads] to buried dreams like there is 2nd guitarist. Viva la France !!
Edit - Try 51666 L VFE A A51 for LEAD KILLER/DYNAMIC @GodlessEndeavor

Ah, ah, great ! The lead profile on the video is 51666 L TS808 R92/MD421.
I see now the use we can make of the A51 or R92 & R92/MD421 combinations, very useful in fact !
Also, I've noticed that the Kemper sounds great as long as I don't deviate too far from whatever settings were originally set when profiled.
You're right about that. A profile is a snapshot of an amp with some precise settings and sometimes the sound becomes a little bit "digital" if you go too far from the original settings. But if it's a profile you like you won't have to do that anyway.
And, IMO, it depends if you really want to keep your own amp with your own settings everywhere, and the Kemper does that perfectly, or, let's say, at 95%.
