Display MoreI'm so sorry you didn't find it funny, Andre, as well as the follow-up joke. Really, I'm very sorry. I was only trying to inject a little "levity" to cheer you up. I've deleted the post completely now out of respect for you, mate. I thought the one-liners would have been funny to most, including you, and were in no way a reflection on you, your country (a different one from the one named), or your situation.
I appreciate how frustrating it must be for you to be in this position, Andre; please don't doubt that. I do think that there's a chance something could be done in Brazil, but even if you have to send it to Kemper, the "worst-case scenario", at least you know it'll be in the best-possible hands; Kemper really does look after its customers very-well.
It sucks when you spend so much money and something like this happens, but unfortunately it's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, and it's the luck of the draw.
Please keep us posted as to how this "plays out", Andre.
Thanks for your kind words and consideration Monkey_Man. Sorry I was so sharp. It happens that I am really frustrated about this whole situation.
It is hard to believe that a product with such a high price tag could present such issues and from what I could gather from the discussions on this forum, it seems that mine is not an isolated case.
Funny how things played out... the reason why I decided to get a Kemper was to deal with something more reliable than my old vintage amps. As it happens, I have a bought a brand new, but deffective piece of gear which I cannot (easily) source parts or repair, in place of a 42-year old Marshall that I can send to the bloke next corner to have it fixed, and for which parts are not a major problem as I can stock valves, capacitors and other stuff quite easily.
Guess I was better off with my old junk...
Anyway, Kemper tech-support people have been very kind and are doing what they can to help. I will keep you guys posted on how I will manage to get out of this (if I ever manage).
Best,
Andre
