I'd start with Fender, probably an old Bassman.
Most other brands tend to break up "harshly" by jazz standards.
YOU'RE RIGHT !!!!!!!! Thats the basic sound I want THANKS M-MAN and thanks to the all the other too , you give GREAT TIPS and reference, suddenly I sound very jazzy... LOL ....have a nice day guys

Funny you mention Metheny as he uses a Kemper...
I agree with Monkey_Man with the Bassman.
You can get great jazz tones with the Les Paul, no doubt.
Thanks but....
The Bassman? Is it a free profile in RE or is it a specific rig to buy ???

HELP PLEASE I'm trying desesperately to get a typical jazz comping sound , and also for solo improvisation... in trio you know what I mean
so I search on all my profile but I dont get it .
Ok I admit that I got only a strat and LPaul and that kind of guitars no semi acoustic...
but maybe you got any suggestion to sound more like Pat Metheny for solo and comping too.
I am willing to pay for rigs if you suggest one
Thanks guys

JUST CURIOUS as we talk about this subject...
Is there a way to prepare an automatic wha following the tempo ? you know what I mean, the tempo and the speed of the wha is all set up so when the guitar start to play (INTRO ALONE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SONG) it indicates the tempo to the band so we are sure to start at the right tempo like in a funk song (where the intro is a rythm guit with a wha)
Thanks again for your help
PS I just experimented the TOUCH function with pedal mode it seems to work. I will try now to see if it follows the tempo a kind of auto-wha I mean but at a precise tempo C ya

THANKS TO ALL VERY APPRECIATED ... RUSH

I think you should show up in practice with the Kemper and no amp plug it on the PA , tell the guy that you experience and test the Kemper and discover it with the rest of the band in an open mind attitude. There is no way you will learn it all before and then go LIVE and that perfect
ANd nobody will mind to try this new toy but in repetition not LIVE first
Repetition first ... and if you like it and the rest of the band like it then you bring it live

Later I will buy a remote but these days my account is too low. In the meantime I must use a wha wha , but I,d like to control the wha effect inside the Kemper . So I need a pedal to control the wha INSIDE THE KEMPER (I insist on that) SO what would the less expensive solution to control the wha effect of the kemper please
(while i wait to buy the remote in many months)
Thanks

MIDI program change number probably

Hey! I posted a link above. and also a second example can be THIS
Well its just a kind of acoustic sound... and feel with a precise strumming. (Could be harder to play than find the tones) That tone is very easy you can find tones like that on RE I am more impressed by the song itself and the overall sound of the band... but as for guitar no mystery there... good syncopated rythm with an ordinary sound

the XLR Main Outputs already deliver a balanced line level signal-adding another DI box will not create any benefit.
OK I see it would be like a DI in another DI Thanks a lot ... I was curious

I'm sorry guys for my delay in answering. I've been out for some days. I studied on all tributes and suggestions and surely will try them except for the Big Muff. The only thing that's left for me from the seventies is a real EH Electric Mistress with original adaptor...
Thanks for all replies! I have a lot of homework now...
Thanks well my posts always come back anyway... you know... cream get on top

Can you give one exemple of the tone you d like to re-create. If you try to sound like Gilmour its very different than Vai or Hendrix or The Edge or Tom Petty .
Also I'd try first to download all my favorite profiles on RIG EXCHANGE and fine tune it.
Good luck

Just curious , who link their Kemper to a Radial or that kind of DI boxes before recording or before performing live?
Any advantage to do that? Thanks

-
Well a lot of people sell their amp to buy Kemper and Fractal too

Just a remark... I once made a mix for an artist. When I sent him the final mix he went back and said : .. ''Man there is not enough bass on the mix.... ''
So I said Ok but on what monitor did you listen to it? he said : on my Ipad
So I think you got my point ... ANYTHING even Led Zeppelin sound more or less impressive it depends on what system you listen to it

Well.... as many says here, I end up using a mic ... damn I hate it but ... yes it sounds good this way
