Well, the title says it all... Is there any order to respect in such a situation?

Hi all
I play in a top 40 band, and sometimes I need an acoustic tone, but not enough to carry and setup a real acoustic guitar. So I was thinking about using a simulator pedal, such as a Boss AC3 along with Bert's acoustic profiles.
Any experience to share ?

Maybe I'm stupid, but anyway, I have to ask this...
When I want to select an effect, even if I first select a type (delay, wah...) with the type button I have to scroll the entire list of ALL effects with browse control to reach the desired preset bank.
So, if for example I want a wah, I have to turn and turn and turn again... Pretty annoying.
Did I miss something or what??? -
Count me in !

Thanks all for the replies, I'm not far from your methods btw!

That's fine, but sometimes you still need to dig a little : would you play U2, ZZ Top, Chic, and Prince with the same patch ?
-
It's basicaly a question about the way you work with your kemper to get the guitar tones heared on the tunes you are supposed to play.
Do you select the profile first, or do you begin with main effects locked ?
Any other tips to share ?
Thanks ! -
Yup, checked junk box etc nothing at all.
It’s not a problem though. I know Bert will sort it out: he’s awesome
Had the same idea, without success. I'm confident though!

I use stereo out direct into foth, monitor out into an alto 210 for self monitoring. Perfect setting for me !
Ah, one more thing though: I use a strat along with Bert Meulendijk profiles, they are just perfect with just a bit of output eq! -

Bert uses one, as he said here : www.kemper-amps.com/forum/inde…?postID=417330#post417330

Bert, thanks for your reply!
Imo, the reverbs in Kemper are lacking a bit of variety, not to say they are bad though. I was wondering how you were dealing with this at work, hence my question.
I was waiting for NAMM before deciding to buy an external reverb unit, so now I'm in search for that. The Strymon is very tempting, but I was more focussed on a rack unit, probably a second hand digital piece of gear.
By the way, you use the Strymon in FX loop, right?
Again, thanks for your time, and for your great profiles! -
I've all Bert's profiles, and they are definitively the best with my strat. I play in a cover band, Kemper direct into FOTH, self monitoring with a FRFR.
My question to Bert: as a session musician, do you use outboard reverb live and/or in studio, or do you use Kemper's ones?
Thanks for your work!

We're not comparing it to a Fender Twin Reverb, we're comparing it with the other fantastic digital options out there that have great editors.
Great editors, maybe.
Better tone ? Not sure, and I come from a helix. -
I'd at least like to have some improved preset management. It's a royal pain to scroll through all the preset types when you already have an effect type selected. At the very least, allow us to filter for presets for the selected effect type! We've been asking for this since the KPA was first released.
+1000!
This is really weird for a well done unit ! -
How much ?

I would like to buy a cheap backup rig in case my kemper would fail.
Purpuse is to go direct in foth.
Added time based fx would be great...
Any suggestion ?

Ahem... - - Bogner
Actually, Bert has already a Bogner ecstasy profiled in his first bundle!

I have all Bert's profiles, they are just perfect with my strat, with just a bit of output eq to match my monitors.
What I like is the great homogeneity of all the bunch, works perfectly once you have find the right adjustment (if needed).
All pickups selector position are equally good, even the effects are tastefull!
I play in a top 40 band, I've never touch anything on any of Bert's profiles except delay/reverb time. Great work from a solid pro !
