The newest presets would include several new fuzz presets that weren't there before as well as Fulltone Fulldrive presets.

So what I am trying to achieve is what I would call a transparent overdrive: I want the drive to add distortion, but not change the overall tone of the profile. So far, I have only been able to get this with the Pure Booster. But, to get any significant breakup, the volume on the Pure Booster has to be so high that it causes a large jump in volume when engaged.
So I have been trying to get this with the new drives and the best I have come up with are these:
Full OC:
HP/LP: LP
Drive 5
Tone 5.0 - 6.0
Mix 60% and up
Volume +4.0 ( and down as the Mix goes up)
Kemper Drive:
Drive 7.6
Tone 5.4 - 6.0
Definition 0.0
Slim Down 0.0
Mix 78%
Volume -0.6
This is pretty close, but similar to the ODR-1, there is an increase in bottom that I can't get rid of.
Any feed back on those would be welcome as would any settings or tricks you have come up with.
Thanks,
Kevin
You could try the soft shaper instead of the pure boost. It's a soft clipping effect - just volume and gain. That could possibly work for you.

I've tried the factory profiles as well as paid ones and I always keep coming back to an AC30HW by Reznor. That profile just sings and it suits my playing style.

I always say the better your club band is the less you have to travel because everyone wants you in town. Crappy bands travel 80-100 miles to a gig to get to an area where they don't know you're crappy yet because they can't get booked in town. I remember in the 80's our manager offered us a tour of Europe, Said we'd get to travel all over but we wouldn't make any money so we said no. We stayed local as we could, and made money instead.
I agree. And with my declining health, it's just not worth it at the end of the day even if it's a couple $$ more.

I haven't been getting a similar results with Fender profiles but it might be the player. Hahaha.

Playing in a cover band regularly (every two weeks). I also record at home.

Got a mail from Kemper about new overdrives in OS 8.0.5 like TS808, Klon Centaur, Marshall Bluesbreaker etc. But I don't see them in the internal menu in the Kemper nor in the software. Am I missing something? I have my Kemper running on 8.0.5.23861.
I had to go on my USB stick and import the drive presets manually for some reason. They didn't show up for me neither at first.

Anyone had tested the new drives on the 8.0 beta firmware with bass?
How does it sounds?
Any videos?
Audios?
I've just tried it with guitars not bass. There's only a few sounds I found useable for me personally and my genre but I'm sure some will have lots of use out of this.

Does anyone know how to access and load the new drive presets? I've updated to the beta version and the new drives are there but can't seem to find the presets....
Same thing happened to me. You have to put the presets on your USB stick without the folder or else it won't import.

I love the AC30HW by Reznor. I've tried tons of profiles both free n commercial and I always come back to this one.

Well...I must confess that Cool Edit Pro 2.1 it's still in my heart
First DAW I ever used. I don't remember the exact version though. lol It was a pretty cool DAW for its time. Very easy to use.

Another really good and even free one is MT PowerDrumKit 2. Easy to use, great sound for rock stuff and many patterns which can easily be adjusted.
I don't care much for the sounds in PowerDrumKit 2. I also have SI Drums that comes with Cakewalk.

Reaper here, with mainly 2 plugins :
- Ample Sound Bass P Lite II : really great because it's free, the sound is great and it offer the ability to import Guitar Pro Tab -> no MIDI programming (it handles all bass articulations according to the Tab)
- EzDrummer : quite not so expensive (i've seen that slate gives a free light version of SSD5 -> probably a good free alternative)
Ready to go !
Good to know about SSD 5. I use & love EZDrummer but always looking for new sounds so I'll give it a try.

cakewalk by bandlab here. Free and I follow the creative sauce YouTube channel for some cool tips and easy tutorials
+1 on Cakewalk. I used Pro Tools for over 10 years and could never fully get integrated with it. Cakewalk was definitely the way to go for me.

I've gotten the unpowered Kemper and do not regret it. I play mostly through headphones at home and IEMs at gigs though.

Hey all,
If you use dirt pedals separately, how are you using them? Are you going straight into input or do you go through loop?

I wonder if anyone has tried the new Gator bag for the Kemper toaster? It looks neat but I wonder if it's built sturdy enough.
