  • I just checked and the BM Friedman pack is only about $17 and there are 89 profiles in it. Everything from clean to max gain. It really covers the spectrum. He does a better job than most of EQ'ing each profile and using the right amount of Intensity in the Amp section. No high end fizz which was my main complaint with Top Jimi. In need to check out the Bogners in M Britts pack as well.

  • I will check that out. The specific BM Friedmans that I use live are "BM F-Man SAT 1G6" for classic rock/ AC/DC, etc and for a bit more gain for hair metal era stuff I use "BM F-Man SAT 4B G8/Boost"

    • I play (mostly) modern rock and metal but I love the older warmer tones instead of always high gain or saturated ones. trying to find a good mix of both.

  • For context, I play classic rock, so that's the kind of sounds I'm looking for.

The Friedmans I'm loving are BE-50s from Michael Britt's Crank n Go pack. I particularly like the ones profiled with a Klon in front of them. The Bogners in this pack are nice as well.

  • Yeah Ghost is something special. When you take away the shock rock you get some very good songwriting. Lots of guitar elements you don't see a lot of these days. Almost like he took the best pieces of old school rock and metal with slight modern ones and they all had a music child haha! I've never been able to make it out to see them and it bums me out. Especially since they're so popular and its expensive to go. Yeah I'm enjoying this foum.

Side note: I do have a Hagstrom Fantomen for sale if you'd ever be interested. Figured I'd throw that out to a big Ghost fan. I really enjoy it, I just don't need it after my custom and it would help pay for the Kemper lol.

    anywho.. nice to meet you!

  • Saw the Ghoul mask and that you from Mn. I'm a huge Ghost fan. Probably my favorite band of the last 5 years. Saw then open for Maiden at Excel a couple summers ago and hoping they come back around sometime in the next year. Welcome to the forum....lots of great info on here!

    • Well, next time they come around, I really hope you can make it. I agree, the music is sometimes overlooked or worse yet, a lot of people don't even give them a chance due to the image. Tobias Forge is a musical genious as far as I'm concerned. As for the Hagstrom, I would love it but waiting on a new Kiesel custom build at the moment!

    • Dude that's awesome! What model did you pick up?

    • It's a bolt but superstrat style with Floyd, hotter bridge humbucker, kill switch, upside down modern headstock, etc. I have a Carvin CS (the LP shaped one) and a SC90 as well as an old 80's double neck so always been a big Carvin/Kiesel fan.

    • Awesome! What top wood did you go with? I've been real curious about Kiesel's lately. They've been coming out with a lot of designs that catch my eyes lately. Id like to try some of their stuff before I buy though.
