Actually those settings are very close to some of the settings I used on my pack here. I've asked if there was any post processing....otherwise the rest of the sound is in the cab/hands!

Dude, my father has a Marshall 1936 Lead. It has T75s, but is a 2x12...I could see if I can make some profiles and swap the amp, maybe it gets somewhere in the ballpark.
Not ideal I assume, but better than nothing.
I also have access to 1960 cabs (the ones with t75s), but I'm not sure I can profile where they are located. Not really into hauling that cab around if it ends up not working though.
Can always try!
I got a reply from Lasse....he said he just used a high and low pass in post processing...so I need to get hold of that and we might be onto something.
Marshall T75 - 300 Watt? I guess i got one in my Basement.
Very cool! If you can get ahold of the cab and the settings Lasse used maybe you could do an expansion 'DEATH' pack to the 8100 profile set with some great profiles that capture the sound of DEATH. I bet it would be a hit with all the fans of Death and death metal in general. I was looking thru the youtube messages and Lasse mentioned these settings...Bass: max Mid: 3-4 treb: 5 Gain: max contour: 7-8 Volume: Max Master: 3
Since you know Lasse though you can go straight to the source for all the info to achieve that tone like he got in that video.
In the very first days of the profiler and before the rig exchnage existed, i once did a "Chuck Tribute Rig". Though that amp is not the tightest one playing some "human" stuff is fun...
Just bought the pack. Sounds great! Brutal thrashing ahead, the weekend may be well spent on it.
The clean tone is clipping the output heavily, maybe you could revise this for upcoming thrashers?
I pushed the profile volume of that up +3.6db...just drop that down and you should be all good.
Just bought these! Is there a boost pedal baked in (some of) the profiles? Can you elaborate on the signal chain a bit?
EDIT: oh, the youtube video seems to contain the info I was after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6T8R3DbZqc
Yup Maxon OD820! Mesa 4x12, 57/sm7b
I don't know if you guys care for clips ... but I had an old intro riffing idea laying around, and I decided to test how these profiles blend together (had to "mix" a bit here and there). This makes use of "chimey clean", "scorched earth" and "speedball lead". And wastes 30 s of your life, if you so choose

Sounds awesome man! 30 seconds well spent
Sounds sweet man! That clean profile works really well too
Not quite sure...im not massively up on Death. These are pretty vicious/modern sounding profiles...perhaps if you swapped the Mesa cab for a Marshall on the Kemper you might be getting closer. I'd assume TSOP was the most modern sounding from Death!
Yes "The Sound Of Perseverance" is the most modern Death's sound! The guitars are cutting through the flesh
Display MoreJaymz, check out this link from youtube, Lasse Lammert recorded a compilation of Death tunes with the Marshall 8100 and a Marshall 1960 cab. What do you think? I still haven't had a chance to try the pack out yet. Is it possible to get this sound from your pack? I'd love to be able to get the tones like you are hearing from this LL clip. I'm sure your pack is going to be amazing when i finally get a chance to play it.

Been playing with the "Speedball Lead" patch recently....actually one of my favorite lead patches from any of my packs. Sounds incredible with the new EMG 66
Just picked up this pack recently. One of the very best set of Marshall profiles I have ever heard. I have to say that overall I have found many of the Marshall profiles out there to be bit of a let down, or at least for my purposes. I was starting to think that Marshall amps just don't profile well for some reason.
These ones on the other hand are outstanding.
Thanks man! This amp is pretty renowned for being hard to profile but I persevered. They are an aquired taste but im glad they've worked out for you
