Submitted 4 profiles to the Rig Exchange. Hopefully they'll be on there soon!
Signal chain is a little unorthodox, as it works for me, but I wanted to share for those who want to play around with them.
One is clean, just the head going through my Ear Candy cab. Mic'd with a Shure KSM313 (front side) ribbon going through an AEA RPQ500.
The other three profiles were pushed with an Abominable Electronics Throne Torcher pedal (HM-2 clone) but with LED footswitch and MIDS knob.
An example of the profiles (the distorted ones) in a mix. My solo death metal project Sallow Moth: http://sallowmoth.bandcamp.com
A rundown of the profiles:
Bell PM20 Throne Torcher HM2 LED -- this is the pedal all knobs dimed but with an LED footswitch engaged. Mic edge 3 in out.Supposedly this footswitch is a clipping distortion of russian diodes from a Klon circuit. It fattens/smooths the HM-2 sound and cleans it up in the highs.
Bell PM20 Throne Torcher HM2 -- LED footswitch NOT engaged, all knobs dimed. So basically the classic HM-2 setting. Mic edge 3 in out.
Bell PM20 Throne Torcher HM2 C -- LED footswitch engaged, all knobs dimed but with the mic center on the speaker cone.
The mix is quad tracked with a DiPinto Galaxie IV guitar (single coils). Two main guitars were bridge pickup with Bell PM20 HM2 LED, third and fourth using the HM2 C profile but with bridge & neck pickup both engaged. Convoluted, but very specific and complementary setup.
Hopefully you guys can get good use out of these! Anyway, was my first shot at profiling as I just got a Kemper a few weeks ago.
