Super low volume issue, and bad sound quality! Please help!!

Hello all! New to Kempers, was checking to see if anyone could please help!

I got a Kemper last week and I haven't been able to fully enjoy it because i can hardly get a good sound out of it!

I tried the Clean sens. in the input, and distortion sens. I tried cranking every volume possible to no avail. i just cant seem to get a loud volume.

I have updated to the latest firmware, and because it was an open box i even did a factory reset but nothing happened... Also im getting an annoying ground hum too...

PowerRack Head->Hughes and Kettner 4x12 cab

I have tried different cables and guitars but all act the same. The cab sounds fine when using my Evh 5150iii so i know the cab is fine too.

Obviously im doing something wrong so if anyone can chime in that would be great!

Have you tried headphones to see if it's doing the same thing?

Set the output at - 19 db.

How do you connected the CAB to the KPA? Cab should go to SPEAKER output.

i have it connected to speaker output currently, using a 16ohm cab

I currently dont have a set of headphones but plan on getting a set

From the manual:

Power Amp Switch

“Power Amp On” activates the built-in power amp. There is no specific need to switch it off when not in use; unlike a tube power amp, the built-in Class D amp is not in any danger when you have no speaker connected. Nevertheless, you may want to switch it off to reduce energy consumption.

Do you have any other audio hardware( like monitors , computer speakers) to check if this issue is the same on other outputs?

i tried it with headphones and it sounds great through headphones..

Also I can hear the amp through the cab even with the headphones on

Please check Monitor Volume and Monitor Cab Off and Monitor Source parameters in output section.

If this not help i suggest to contact support . It may be some internal connectio or power amp issue.

hmmm... i have monitor cab off and the monitor volume cranked, if i adjust volume up it just gets over saturated and muddy sounding..
