Only my opinion but...
Could be nice to see all amp profile with all effects off :
We are there for pure valve sounds and of course on profile you can set
all effect that you want, but only as suggestion ( all off).
In this case we are able to listen the real profile sound
without rev, chorus, delays, dive bomb, bells, helicopter, wash machine...
I am to much purist ? 
Some profiles sellers just doing it...

You can disable all the FX slots and lock them in that state, then browse any Rigs you like in this "purist" way, and no, I don't think you're "too purist". I'm old-school too, mate. 
It's not that I (or you, I'm guessing) don't like effects; it's just that some peeps want to hear the raw-amp Rig as the basis on which to make judgements, no?

Yes ! You get it !
I prefer start with a good amp profile and then,
if needed, add some fx ( ..for the truth just a little reverb ).
So nice that I am able to lock all effects !
I thought was only for the stomps side.
Now I need to revise the manual....
seem be I am still missing a lot of info.
