New to Kemper, looking for some great artist packs

    Hi! I'm new to Kemper and coming from Helix.


    What are some great rigs that really mimic specific artists sounds?

    I'm looking for the following:

    Metallica sounds across the first 5 albums

    Smashing Pumpkins

    Black Sabbath - Master of Reality era

    Iron Maiden

    Sleep

    High on Fire

    Type o Negative

    Zeppelin


    I dunno if these sort of things really exist because I understand Kemper creates sounds in a totally different manner than Helix does, so I hope I'm not being annoying.

    You aren't being annoying at all :)


    Although there are many, many great Commercial Rigs, AFAIK, there aren't that many artist/song packs being commercially offered. If you know what type of amps they used, that kind of profile is almost all you need. Many of the sounds you mentioned are likely Marshall amps - depending on the era, Plexi and JCM800, for the most part.


    Also, between the Kemper Factory Rigs, the Rig Packs in Rig Manager, and the thousands of Rigs in the Rig Exchange, you'll can probably find them there.


    A similar type of guitar pickups helps, but, the most important thing is the physical approach to playing the parts.
