Hey everyone, I just bought a used Kemper head and had a question about updating the OS. It's on version 5 and ideally I'd update it with Rig manager but the only download available for Rig manager says to be used with version 7 or higher. Does this mean I need to use a USB stick to update the Kemper? Thanks!

Yes, you'll have to use a USB stick.

After that, you can update to the latest version (8.05) using Rig Manager or download/USB stick.

I've got rig manager version 3.0.145. I attempt to uptade my kemper in 8.0.5 (it is in 8.0.2 version), the download seem ok but during the transfert to the kemper, I"ve got an error "An error occuredwhile updating PROFILER? Pleasetry again or [email protected] for assistance".
Do you have this issue ?

This happens occasionally.
Restart the Profiler (power off/on) and reboot the computer.
When you restart Rig Manager, it should prompt you to do the update.
It should be fine after that.

I've got OS 6.0 and am trying to upgrade to 7.3.2 (so I can eventually get to OS 8.x). I put the 7.3.2 "kaos.bin" file on a USB memory stick formatted for FAT32. I out the memory stick in the USB port of the Profiler but nothing happens, even when I reboot the Profiler. I see that the Profiler creates a few folders including OS Update, so I tried putting the file in there, but nothing h happens.

Welcome to the community.
Did you format the USB memory stick in the Profiler first? If not, do it now.
Put the file in the root directory of the USB memory stick. Don't put it in the root AND the OS Update folder.
Did that help?
When you get OS 7.3.2 installed, you can then update to OS 8.05.
