Ah shit... Really? I assumed that since there was no remote cabling required in the Stage, this problem wouldn't appear in this unit. This is very disappointing and actually a deal-breaker for me. I was going to get myself a Stage once the bugs had all been wrung out but if this isn't fixed I shall simply stick with my Power Rack and Remote.

I assume you're referring to the Remote expression pedal inputs? Yes, this is very annoying, and is why I connect my primary exp pedal (for wah and whammy) directly to my Kemper's Exp 1 switch output instead of my Remote. I can't see any valid reason why there should be a latency problem with the Remote. I was using remotely connected exp pedals years ago with my Axe-FX II and 101 pedalboard without ever encountering this problem.

But mix brings in the compressor in parallel to the uncompressed signal. At 100% all signal goes through the comp, at 0% the signal shouldn’t be affected by the comp at all.
I'd expect the signal to be uncoloured at 0%.
I need to check this on my machine.
What did you find, Ingolf?
-
I have a rig set up inside a performance, which has a compressor stomp placed pre-stack. I have morphing set to switch mix from 0% to 100%. However, I notice that with the mix at 0% the compressor is still affecting the tone. If I switch the stomp off altogether there is an audible difference. I have not noticed this behaviour in any stomp effect before. Is this normal, and if not what's causing it?

Oh, I see the link now under "Beta Versions". Thanks Ingolf.
-
No. 7.0.1 is available as a beta for toaster/rack as well.
Where's the link?
-
You need to update to 7.0.1
and RigManager 2.3.1
Correct me if I'm wrong but OS7 appears to be only offered for Profiler Stage at present... ?
-
In RigManager you'll see the 7.0 presets content. Simply copy this over to your machine.
I'm not seeing presets. I am on OS6 and using RM 2.1.76

Hmm... Not sure I understand their reasoning. Still, it's no biggie.
However, I also notice I don't have any Reverb presets pre-loaded into my KPA. I assume this is because my unit is a refurbished B-stock replacement for my old faulty one. Where do I go to download them?
-
OK, I've figured out why I couldn't get a ping pong delay... I was trying to use the single delay preset. If I can just work out how to pan the reverb to one side, I'm set.
-
put a tremolo in a effect slot, Depth at 10, Stereo at 180,
is the sound now panning from left to right and back?
Yes.

Following the advice on my previous thread (Thanks Ingolf!), I have begun attempting to play around with stereo effects in the Kemper but I'm not getting how to set the effects parameters up correctly for stereo sound. I have connected two monitor speakers to the Mon Out and Direct Out outputs, set the Output routing parameters to Master Left and Master Right, and checked that the levels of the two outputs are the same. However, no matter where I set the Stereo and/or Mix parameters inside the Delay or Reverb blocks in my rig, I always get the same signal out of both speakers (ie. both wet or both dry). Connecting the monitors up to the Master Outs yields the same result.
What am I missing?
-
Direct out can be re-configured as Monitor out R, whereas the normal Monitor Out becomes Monitor Out L.
Fantastic! Looking foward to trying this. Thanks!

There you go. I made the same decision and put the Friedman on sale. The Alto sounds great and two are even better.
Can I assume you run a stereo rig? This is something I'm keen to try but I'm struggling to figure out what the connections would be. At present I'm only using the Monitor Out. How do I hook up two monitors in stereo and send a stereo signal to FOH, with independent control of my monitor signal level?
-
That's the best thing you can do! Try them side by side. That's what I did and decided to keep the Alto and put the Friedman up for sale. Curious to hear what you think. Try it with different profiles.
Well, after trying the monitors side by side at home, I took my TS310 to band practise yesterday and spent a good few hours running through the majority of our set. I'm really very, very impressed; I had no problem getting good natural feedback at my typical practice volume. My overall impression is that the highs seemed to be a little bit harsher on the Alto, which was solved by tweaking the Kemper's monitor output EQ slightly. The Friedman seems to naturally sweeten the top end in a manner similar to a real guitar cabinet... Maybe the wooden construction has something to do with that? In any case, I think whatever the Alto may lack is offset by its portability. I haven't reached a definitive conclusion yet, but it's looking very like I shall be keeping the Alto and moving the Friedman on. I do want to try one more rehearsal with the Friedman to be sure.

You could get natural feedback off certain notes with the right profiles, that's the key. It really puts out what you put into it.
I've bitten the bullet and bought a TS310 (the newer model). I'll try it side by side with my ASM-12 and post my findings.
-
You're welcome! Hope it works out.
Hey Rik
How closely does the TS210 behave to a guitar cabinet re. getting natural feedback at volume?
-
Many people seem to be concerned about having an expensive floorboard on the stage, so I came up with this idea. It is a moulded methacrylate cover. What's your excuse now!
Great idea. But why doesn't it already come with one?
-
Excessive bass? Well that may be the TS212 or TS312. My TS210 has a perfect mix of everything, certainly not excessive bass. I play in a cover band which requires a big pallet of tones. For self monitoring and playing at home you can't beat the TS210 or two of them. They sound beautiful.
Thanks Rik. Yeah, the review I watched was of a TS312. I'll definitely consider the TS210. Thanks again!
