Sorry for being a total noob here but, the fourth button above my screen say's 'store snapshop'...? Page 5 of what screen? You have to push the "master" button first to take you to that menu, them go to page 5 of that menu.

Guys, where is this Latency switch? Under what button?
it's the fourth button above the screen, it's not labeled, you have to be on page 5 to either turn "constant" on (light) or off (no light).

And what additional profit did they make by releasing 1.6? In fact, for potential buyers seeing all the negative hyperbole in this thread do you think that would entice them or scare them off? Some people are passionate about their careers and love what they do and if their good at it deserve to make a living at it. The fact that CK is a product designer and not a banker has 0 to do with this thread. Do you go into a restaurant and insult the owner if they give you a free desert after you've already paid for the meal even if the desert was inedible or do you say thank you and simply not eat it?
are you kidding me? some men feel that there is a difference between 1.5.4 release and 1.6.0 beta , that's all. What Cliff started about the aliasing and all his tests, etc. was just plain wrong and that could persuade people in the wrong direction, not commenting on a beta firmware update. I don't know why you would even post on TGP about this as well. Are these forums such a big part of your life? Chill out and take your top off, let your hair down, or something....

It's getting worse and worse! When I turn over my Profiler to the right side it is sounding totaly different with 1.6!

that is a very nice photo, the Kemper looks beautiful all lit up next to your baby blue telecaster....

Well that's what I was wondering earlier on in the thread when I brought up latency (kind of wish I hadn't now seeing the direction it all took), just whether somehow during installation some folks Kempers had got the constant latency setting switched on by accident as that would cause serious feel issues.so are you men thinking that a latency setting on/off in 1.6 can cause the feel change that some men are experiencing?

I have no desire for the rack version

donbarzini does raise a good point about feel (That sentence itself is just plain wrong...) but before we take a second to wonder just how on earth donbarzini would go about feeling stuff can I take us back to what been mentioned before about perception... CK is right. The only way forward is to do blind testing. If the difference is that pronounced (And to some it seems that way) they should be able to pick it out above chance levels (P<0.05 etc). This isn't meant to trick anyone - just to remove extraneous variables that could well be influencing people. The sound is easy enough to do (sort of!) with reamped tracks but the feel would present a problem. Unless some of you live near enough eachother to do this in person. Copy a Rig across both machines then conduct blind 'feel' tests - 1.6 vs 1.5.xx
I'm not saying this needs to be done - I personally didn't detect a problem but others seem to and that's a shame. So... in summary who's up for a blind feel test with Diry donbarzini then... ah.
EDIT: I wrote this at lunch but only just posted...things have moved on again but I hope the point is still validIt must be noted that I was completely nude, only wearing totes galoshes and a head band (lower) when I did this comparison....

I was able to go back and forth between 1.5.4 and 1.6 a few times last night (usually I would never do this) only using the Morgan AC20 profile I use exclusively with my Telecaster. In my opinion, the sound isn't different but there is definitely a difference in the playing feel I get between the two and I prefer 1.5.4. I have no clue what it is but I definitely like playing the profile more so in 1.5.4 but if it were recorded, compared to 1.6, I'm not sure I would hear a difference. Many men will have to decide what is right for them....

prosciutto, what application are you using to display this graphical information to the men?
-
maybe Kemper has two units that they can do comparisons with back and forth, one loaded with 1.5.4 and one loaded with 1.6....
-
The two holes on the pic of the logo...
I thought buttons at first but I think you may be right
-
where do they actually say rack? that could be a foot controller as well....
