I had a similar problem but with some tweaking my KOT and Maxon SD sound great with the kpa.

Feck uploaded some good Orangutan profiles to the Rig Exchange (more than 30 profiles of the amp). And great profiles also!

Well, the KPA includes effects, and an intelligent harmonizer isn't exactly rocket science anymore when a Line 6 POD has it. Just my opinion and something that it needs in order to stay competitive. My intent in purchasing a KPA was to use it for recording and also for gigs, and to minimize the amount of extra FX I have to drag along.
Exactly what ive been saying over and over! Good to see Pete also having the same opinion. Since the technology is always there, in time another company will seize the moment and create both exact profiles and the best in multi fx. Im pretty sure the AXE FX 3 will be something along these lines. Everytime ive brought the 'fx' subject up im always attacked by fanboys. Im a composer and musician. Im certainly not a brown noser. christophe has to be more forward in his approach and listen to what his customers want. Again...just to clarify I LOVE my kpa (i own 2 of them now!!) but as a composer, musician and customer I do expect to be heard. Thank God also that this thread once again shows there are enough users who....blah blah ok rant over (again!) -
Happy waiting mate...we are still waiting on the effect or even a plain octave lower effect. Ive been asking for these fx for what is now coming up to 10 (!!) months of owning the kpa. Thankfully there are more of us out there requesting features. This will only benefit the kpa development. Welcome to the forums gas man!!!

hey Zappledan, nice effect you found there....hmmm GAS syndrome starting again

Hey Sirius, I for one am a great fan of your profiles and you clearly know good tone bro. Thanks for bringing up the issue - and also explaining it with great depth. I hope this also changes soon as I was hoping to do the same with 2 kpa in the new year. Thanks again bro

I actually don't understand AT ALL why everybody wants an editor for the KPA. It's a perfectly well thought out hardware interface and to me it feels a ton better to touch real knobs than to mouse around. A Librarian would be cool yes, but I don't need an editor or VST Interface at all....To each their own...Im not a great fan of new metal (the kind that they shout all the way through)...some are..but they are morons also. Im not so sure my point was such a good one there - you get the point though. one persons needs are different from another.

I do hope you listened all the way through...the last 19 seconds in particular I play my highest most skilled technique. It is however very important to listen to the whole piece to get the acquired build up. Last year Vai, Di Meola, Govan and Gambale were in total awe of my playing in this particular track. I do hope this inspires you all.

Yeah what's up with that? Some strange behavior from a few members lately. There's a ton to like about the KPA, but its not without its shortcomings...Thanks Will, and that's my point. We are trying to make things even better. Nothing will ever get improved if everyone brown noses and we can't voice honest opinions.

If you don't know what you're buying is just your problem, is like getting a Ferrari F-50 and complaining because it doesn't has leather seats...this is just trolling, sorry....
And by the way...if I were to buy a Ferrari F-50 I would obviously expect leather seats...and a decent stereo for that matter...very bad example.

Is there anybody among you that would not have bought the the Profiler, if we had not announced the Performance Mode and Undo/Redo?
I doesnt matter to me....what DOES matter to me, and I really DID think they were included: the OCTAVE FX..The PC/MAC editor...and the lack of a harmoniser. These features I thought WERE included in the product I bought...Still VERY upset after paying so much and not getting what is now STANDARD to guitar units. I love the tones but these are HUGE issues for many users of the KPA -
We see all sorts of anxious messages on missing features, the foot controller, new effects that might be added, some kind of editor. And sure, the Kemper is already perfectly usable as is and there are more and more great profiles. But how about starting out the new year with some kind of positive update on what we might expect in 2013?
Surely it's not that important that every detail is always a secret. At least for me it's not so much the wait. I'd just be interested to know what it is I might be waiting for.
What do you say?
Couldnt agree with you more bro! -
I'd like to rename preset which I downloaded before I store them on my kamper.
Can I do that on my computer? Simply change the name?Regard
This has been my problem with my kpa for a long time now...Ive owned my unit over 8 months now and still no pc/mac editor. To ANY new users of the kemper who are used to other, more expensive or even far cheaper units, this is a simple affair It sucks really. The kpa has the potential to be the last word in guitar gear and yet falls short on a few, rather minor flaws...pc/mac editor, pitch shifter....yawn (tired of saying this over and over and over again...)

Quoted from "burningyen"
+1 to pitch shift and intelligent harmony. And I think I've mentioned in the past, please give us upward range of more than just a single octave and include some sort of EQ/tone shaping control over the harmony notes....and polyphonic operation like the Whammy V (sure I've mentioned it a bunch of times already).

Keep this thread alive brothers!!!....Soon the KPA team will have to take note! Plus my back kills me for the extra board I have to take just to use an octave and harmony. Please KPA team make our Christmas a great one by giving us these effects...or at least the octave just to get started....heck, even a test beta prototype of one of these effects would KICK BOOTY!!

Great tone! Like the gritty blues texture Nice DJDyer
