Thanks for the link, I'm eagerly awaiting more news on the CFR12s. Would love to hear them through my GT1000FX!

If price is a limitation, my Mackie MR5s can hold their own (although they're out of the Adam A7x league).

Best of luck and see you back soon!

Whatever you do, I beg you, do not post this on TGP

"the KPA's hole"
oh boy

Not a U2 fan but sounds good (the Kemper one, that is ;))

Welcome!

I would stay away from the Motu, first because of a very bad personnal experience and second because it is overpriced.
Do tell

I'm far from an expert but I have more or less the same setup and the Motu 896mk3. Very happy with it, never had any issues except for one: the included software to control parameters for each channel (volume, fx, comp, ...) has very high CPU usage. I don't use it, so it's not an issue for me, but if you'd plan on using that extensively I'd test it on your system before you decide.
Apart from that, smooth sailing all the way -
If a Fully grown male could chuck fully grown men, then how fully grown would a grown man need to be before being fully grown thrown...
ya dig?
I read "If a fully grown male could chuck norris..."

I would consider to undergo a medical check for your earing....
I have, they're fine...
Seriously though, I play with custom earplugs (25dB filters) since I have chronic tinnitus (surgery induced, go figure, I play in a metal band ) and do not want to take the risk of being exposed to an exploding amp or drummer (he sometimes does that, we can't figure out why though ).
All this to say that I'm really sensitive and careful to being exposed to loud noise...
One thing I did notice with the KPA/Matrix combo is that -to my ears- it sounds best when the KPA output volume is not that loud, and the Matrix is about halfway...so maybe my volume is fine, I just use weird settings. -
Was kind of wondering this as well, the GT1000FX is 500W/channel @ 4ohms
During a gig, I turn that one up about half way...so I'm wondering if this one will have enough juice. -
I almost crapped my pants, seeing that picture

Are you kidding me, I just got the GT1000FX

Cheers mate, great to see so many people on this forum who are -in one way or another- involved in development of new products!
I better start saving up for when these become available -
That'd be great, but as far as I can tell it would also require a serious overhaul of the firmware to allow stereo fx and amps, no? There isn't much point in a duplicate "cab sim off" output, if the output signal is a clone?

Looks nice, good luck!

I've got 3 electrics, one 6, one 7 and one 8-string.
So no more guitars for me, why would you need more than one if it has the same number of stringsBut seriously, got enormous GAS for a semi-acoustic, especially now that I've been messing around with some of the clean profiles on the KPA...does it ever stop

Got a Korg DTR-2000 in the rack. If I didn't already own it before I got the KPA, I probably would have just used that tuner (you can switch it via MIDI so you don't need to touch the chickenhead on stage).
But still using the Korg since it's in the rack anyway and it's a great tuner... -
Thanks for the info Xpenno, this thing might actually have me make the jump to FRFR, but the wedge format is a little weird in my book.
Any comments? Can you easily put these up straight or on some sort of stand? What does it do to the sound, etc When you say you tested it with two speakers, they were just on the floor?
Cheers
