Yes, +1! A similar request: does the KPA transmit MIDI tempo now? Hard to make it the "master" of the rig if it doesn't.

I realize the original FCB-1010 chip is not programmable. I'm asking about the programmable UNO chip that I already own, which accepts firmware updates.
I know that he always used to post the firmware for UNO for download so that you could burn the EPROM yourself. Don't see any indication he's doing that yet this time.

As soon as the email arrived.

Agree completely, lightbox. I am a software developer and never mind when my users want an update on how things are going with a new feature. I much prefer that they care than not.

anyone check?

Can't wait to try it!

I guess I never saw this updated doc. I just had the original one. Thanks.

- fixed: a possible hang due specific MIDI SysEx commands
What SysEx commands? I only know of the CC & NRPN commands. Is documentation available?
-
I have had one for a while. They were released the same time as the powered version.

It may be a good idea to get an FCB then?I think it's a good idea anyway. They're cheap, hackable and at the least a good backup for whatever else you're using.

I checked this several times today, it always took 20 seconds max to download. From where are you experiencing these issues?
I'm in Chicago and Kemper stuff either downloads instantly or painfully slow (i.e. sometimes, I could type that fast, sometimes dialup speed). I see several minutes to download a system update pretty often, but it's very variable.
-
That doesn't suck at all! It's a nice transitional tool while waiting for the KFC, and may be good enough for lots of users. Having used Roland gear for years, i really appreciate Kemper's customer focus.

Maybe it's fixed in the new firmware version, maybe I'm going it right all of the sudden. In any case, I have 2 little MIDI files that I can send from MainStage when I want to toggle the SPDIF input. Sweet!
I think I may use this method to set up MainStage patches to tweak the KPA rig that I'm calling up with a program change (change the gain, turn stomps on/off, etc.). That way I don't have to either have a lot of versions of the same rig nor tap dance on footswitches.
-
How about making the Spdif switch part of the input section?
This way it could be saved with the input settings, along a rig, or locked.+1 Very logical.
-
I don't mean to call you out on this but I have been reading people saying this for the last year, yet I have never seen a single post from Mr. Kemper confirming this.
very +1

Pretty clever -- I don't think I've seen anyone suggest that routing before. So you run 3 cables to your guitar? Maybe you could do something with a stereo cable to condense the two instrument cables if that's uncomfortable.

Hijacking the geezer thread: I'm 55 myself and for the past few months I've had a lot of pain from my left hand knuckle where it drags on the back of the neck. It's hard to tell what's going on. It feels like a blister but I don't see anything. Anyone else have this problem before?
-
I remember this issue from an old version of the firmware, but it's fixed now. Are you up to date?
-
Awesome! I didn't think anyone could beat the price I got, but you did.
