Our band Stranger Dimensions recently posted this Lyricvideo of 'Warsick'. This song is recorded using the tonehammer's 6534+ profile for guitar 1 and a 6505+ tubehead for guitar 2. Can you spot the difference Tell me who is who...!!!
Still using regular cabs is part of the psychological change as still using tube power amps, it is hard to let go, haha...
True I can not really let go yet... (Took me almost 2 years to sell my unused dual rectifier...Not really regretting it... But still miss that amp!)
I realize the potential the kemper has And I'm willing to exploit it all xd Sometimes we play at venues with great PA, but more than often we play at venues where the PA can barely stay standing for the vocals. So I'm not really ready to sell it all :p (it would make some money to buy another guitar tough )
Depends on the situation you're in! At this point I play relative small gigs with two bands (Stranger Dimensions/Six O' Five). When you can not rely on a decent PA you're better of not to depend on that. So I chose to use my Kemper with an ENGL tube poweramp through a cabinet. It gives me the freedom to control my own sound on stage. And when you have the chance to play a big gig, you will be miced and you're set!
If price is not an issue I would suggest that you go for the unpowered versions. Than you're free to use any poweramp you like with it At this point I use an engl 50W tube poweramp. Best choice I ever made :p. I had good results with a rocktron velocity 300 also ;).
Our new EP will drop soon! Here is the promovid made by Headshot Records for one of the tracks.
On this song I used the same 6534+ rig from tonehammer as I used for "Heartless". But I've added a maxon od808 in front of the kemper. It is also recorded the old fashion way. Kemper => engl E850/50 poweramp => engl 212 vintage, recorded by several mics.

A little cover I did last week. Not perfect, but you'll get the idea If you like this, subscribe to my youtube channel. I will post more videos later using other profiled amplifiers.

For those that are interested. I've recorded some quick cover songs using the free 6534+ profile by tonehammer. The songs are not 100% perfect because I've learned them mostly by ear. But you'll get the idea

Up until now, the reliability! It has never failed on me. It is cool to have a compact unit that I can take everywhere, from a stage, to recording studio, to a friends place.
Although it's not my favorite for play-ability, it's definitely my favorite for it's sound! It is my 1980s les paul custom. Playing metal through these pickups really growls!!
Pretty standard. I use a 6u roadready case. From top to bottom my kemper, line6 G90 and engl E850/50 poweramp. In the back there is only a powerstrip. The remote is fitted in the back with room underneath for cables. It's a little heavy, but it works perfectly.
Very nice and welcome! BTW, when I was a young boy I loved Motorhead Judas Priest Baphomet and Angelwitch as well as AC/DC Led Zeppelin Rainbow and the usual other suspects... Now I can't hear myself playing, but never mind...
Yes, and Jimmy H. and others were my bread and butter...
Hehe thanks! I also grew up listning to all those bands. Metallica being my favorite But since I play in a band myself I tend to listen more to smaller or local bands. Although I still listen to the greats from time to time!
Welcome @MaartenESP to this community! Already checked your youtube - some crazy brutal heavy stuff here. Me like (unfortunately I don't use facebook)! And guitars sounds great and huge! What profiles are you using on that track? OK these are Tonehammer. They actually smash. Like Hammer Smashed Face!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
On our Heartless single we used the free 6534+ profile of tonehammer. We have an EP coming out soon which is recorded with the payed version of the 6534+ profiles, if you are interested I will also post it on the forum when that time comes. And expect more to come in the future with tonehammer's invader and dual rectifier profiles!
