Sorry no not about anymore, finances have now reduced me back to a Pod HD of all things. So hanging round here and dare I say it the Fractal forum just makes me incredibly jealous, and not just a little sad.
Regards the DIY amp I was using it daily until I sold it and was really happy with it.
Cheers.

I can't believe where this thread has gone, and the comments made by some long standing members to each other. The one thing I always liked about this forum is "gentlemanly" conduct and respect the members showed each other. I find it really quite upsetting.

I don't understand why it matters, there are enough users of both units to prove they both have a place, and form the centre of many great musicians sound. The bashing is just another MAC vs PC and people will always have their favourites and there will always be evangelists who want to convert the "unenlightened".
Personally i've owned both, and love them both, I have a MAC and a PC too. Due to personal circumstances i've had to sell one, and I chose to sell the Kemper, If I could I would love to have had both, but the editor, the audio interface, and the effects made me choose the Axe FX. If I win the lotto i'll definitely get another Kemper, but for now the Axe better meets my needs.
Peace....... -

SOLD But i've been long term loaned an Axe FX 2 XL from a VERY good friend, not quite the same but still lots of fun.

Just a bump to see if there is any more interest before I list it elsewhere.
Cheers

Money unfortunately, my partner has been declared disabled, i've lost my job due to three spine fusions not working too well so i'm now "medically unfit".
Give me a year or so and "I'll be back !!!" No pun intended......... -
Just testing the water really, i'm looking for around £1250. UK Only, sorry.
Details of the power amp can be found here:
DIY Power Amp for Toaster- 'Alien Boost'Details of the Controller can be found here:
DIY Pedal board for kemperThe controller is Arduino based and is still work in progress, I can give you all the information you want and the links I used for my research and to base the project on.
The controller has a 5m Cat6 lead with an EtherCon connector. The footboard has chips on the paintwork, and the midi breakout box is only a prototype.Feel free to ask any questions, oh and it has great Steampunk Skin too

Updated v0.3
Fixes strange fault where occasionally there was a weird effect when the Wah was in full heel position.
No image in zip as the same as previous.

I think Timo needs to chime in on this - if 0 has an effect then it isn't really 0 now is it? This should be looked into as 0 should be 0 if things are programmed correctly.
Yes and no, programming wise 'on and 0' isn't necessarily the same as off.
This is also very common in studio analogue equipment especially 'eq's' often on-and-0 is a go to setting just to add a small colouring, and very different to off. -
Nice idea, unless it means we would fall foul of copyright/trademark issues.

Updated version, slightly improved performance.
Start and stop on Trigger implemented.
External expression pedal settings for Wah in "Nav pad" -
Hi everyone, I received my Soft Step 2 yesterday, so here is my first 'preset' for it.
It is to control the looper on the Kemper. It is still work in process but works well. I've included a picture showing the functionality implemented so far.
The '6' led is red when recording, and green when playing. Press stop (7) three times to delete the loop.Known Issues.
Keeping 6 held does not record, you must press once to start recording, and once to stop.
If you use trigger (9) to start play back you cannot stop with stop. You must press play (6) first, then stop.
Led's better operation- ie trigger lights playback led, see previous issue too.
Haven't implemented reverse and 1/2 speed yet.
Enjoy

The Keith McMillen SoftStep 2 can send up to 6 commands on each button http://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/softstep/ and is cheaper than the Remote.
Looks like plastic but is actually Carbon Fibre. -
In my controller I use a 'breakout-box' which feed midi and power down a Cat6 cable. I don't use the ethernet connector on the Kemper. I believe they use a proprietary protocol to talk to the remote.

I can see it would be very useful to have a plugin to store the rig and settings used, a bit like the eleven rack does. I often go back to a track I recorded a few weeks ago and have completely forgotten which rig and what settings I've used, and left no notes on it.
So yes this would be cool and useful.
++++1 -
Could be very useful, if controlled and policed properly. Unfortunately could turn bad quickly......
