The problem is still there with latest firmware, i put a usb stick in my Kemper, it ask "are you sure" to format it, but nothing happen when i click on yes or no.
Shutting it done with the chicken knob resolved it (althought the shutdown screen was also missing), but i think it's a bug. -
I use a Donner "blues crab", which is a cheap Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal clone.
It's only use is as a "dirt boost" (a slight boost that makes your signal more dirty). I have tried to reproduce this effect with the available stomps in the kemper or by fiddling with amp settings, but with no success.
I hope the stomp section will be improved in the future for OD, the green scream is pretty cool so i think most of the "classic" OD should be implemented. -
The brick-wall LPF can be set at a higher frequency, thus allowing more-accurate representation of super-high frequencies as well as reducing audible artefacts of the filter.
What are super-high frequencies ? Frequencies outside of the audible spectrum ? In this case, why should it matter ?

Perhaps you don't like the sound of your orange 4x10 ?

There is no theoretical quality improvement by going from 44.1 to 48. But many interfaces are made to work at 48 khz and some can induce problems when doing the rate conversion.

Tags are a better solution in my opinion. And both the KPA and the RM are ready for that. Search/order by those tags and finding a rig is matter of seconds. The favourite flag has a similar purpose.
The problem is that i have yet to see a commercial profile where the tags have all been correctly filled. Most of the time they are missing or worse, completely wrong (seen much too frequently).
You could in theory fill them yourself, but that's a lot of work, and Rig Manager or the Kemper are not very practical for such work. -
f this is the case you'll never be able to gather useful information from the interwebz.
Such a statement would be more credible if somebody with inside knowledge (which Sinmix clearly doesn't have) said it.
So many false rumors have been spread already.Since nobody from Kemper will reveal how it works, we are left with speculations.
Rejecting every speculation based on the fact that they don't come from an insider (which by definition we will never get) seems pretty sterile to me.
Saying that the Kemper is an amp sim with a cab impulse response, is not saying a lot, is probably true, and won't be enough to allow you to build the next kemper. -
maybe the break up one... love it!!! Im curious about the crunch...
No, i remember now, my favorite was the crunch one.
-
I'm so glad you liked them! Please, can you tell me which one do you like the most?
I'm not at home in front of the kemper, so i can't tell exactly, but this is the one that reminds of a JTM 45 with gain. But all three are great.

Thank you for these great profiles !

And actually, switching off then on the profiler seems to force the rebuild of such a list.
Must be other ways though... -
I am back with my problem.
I think there is a bug somewhere, or a strange behaviour.
I was doing tests with till cab teaser pack.
I was not able to load them, and suddenly, it worked.
Now i have removed his free cabs and i have bought the full pack.
The rigs are on my profiler and i'm able to play them.
But when i try to use one of their cab by browsing the cab "from rigs", i don't see them, but only the (previous) deleted ones.
Is this normal ?
I suspect there is a cache that needs to be rebuilt at some time ? -
using a DXR10 (or another good FRFR speakers) it will give me 95% of the feeling of a full out stack in my apartment at a reasonable volume.
I have been reading a lot of contradictory advices regarding the use of the DXR10 for low volumes.
Some people like you find it adequate for this use.
Other people find it completely inadequate, citing the fan noise produced by the device, and a bad result at low volume.
I'm a little confused since i would not be able to try it on site without buying it first. -
Like the same guitar cab with a traditional amp.
Ok, but i thought one of the pros of the Kemper is to be able to get a "cranked" tone at low volumes. How does this "cranked" sound behave when being played through a guitar cab at low volume ?
I'm a bedroom player with no true (= valve) amp experience. -
How do true guitar cabs behave at low volume with a kemper ?
-
Shaka ponk is known to go full digital. They use VSTs live as well as in the studio (!). CC has used Guitar rig on stage, i don't know if this is still the case.
-
Thank you for your help.
I was correctly browsing the rig instead of the presets, but what i didn't get is that it's not the rig name but the cabinet name (?) that is shown when browsing.
As i thought, changing the cab makes a lot of difference. -
Till is offering merged profiles.
I would like to use the cab portion of this profiles with my studio profiles. Is this possible ? When i load the studio profile and open the cabinet part to replace it, when i browse, the merged profiles don't show in the list. -
seems to me they were aiming to show off the best of the pod against the poorer KPA and AF presets.
This doesn't make any sense.
Anderton is not selling Pod, but is selling both Amplifire and Kemper.
I think they didn't do this demo correctly (they should have go DI and not mic a FRFR cab), but it was not done on purpose.
If this vid has any effect on sales it will be do decrease them.
