Good inexpensive passive FRFR speaker?

Oh not sure I can help there. I use the DXR10's by yamaha and they are awesome but they are a bit more than $200

I haven't tried them myself but the Electro Voice ELX112 are supposed to be quite good. The passive version is about 300€ new. Since you have the power head you don't really need an active speaker so this might be an option especially used.

I have tried the Behringer B212d - which is a cheap powered FRFR. Nice decent cleans but it farts out when doing any chugga chugga. The studio monitors Behringer B2031A are good though - try to get a couple secondhand. Strictly for home use Id prefer studio monitors. The new NL12 by Matrix Amplification ? - although thats outside of your budget maybe. My 2 cents.

Dunno but cheapest tried and tested FRFR are the EV ELX or the newer ZLX . Anything below this pricewise I suggest you test yourself in person. Don't skimp on the last part of your chain though. Even a tiny Marshall MS-2 can sound huge :-). http://youtu.be/GalJHr4EOEk.

Got them for 75 euros each.

I use two Fender Squier SQ12M wedge monitors. Very cheap. It has a guitar looking 12" and a horn. The horn is really not intrusive at all. I drilled a port to let the lows "breathe"
