But I thought you could use the monitor out and direct out to make it stereo or have I got that wrong to lol

Yeah I would I just didn't want space to be on the monitor out!!!
I use IEM's in my band and at the moment with the previous firmware I had to come out of the headphone out with is routed to the mixing desk this one would feed my IEM mix and I'd feed the main outs to the mixing desk providing the FOH sound. I don't want space on my FOH guitar. Now with this new firmware if space is not on monitor out this can feed my FOH and main outs can feed my IEM mix. Making it more tidy lead wise as all leads will come from the back of the KPA
