Local Library Folder Contents missing after OS Restart

  • Steps:
    1) add rigs to a Local Library folder
    2) Restart Windows but do not close RM manually
    3) After Windows is Rebooted, open RM
    4) Result: All added rigs are missing.

If I manually close RM it restores the added rigs correctly.
This occurs consistently for me on Windows 7, 64bit

    thanks

  • It came as a pretty nasty surprise to me, and I lost a lot of work. There should be a warning in the manual, or a preference option. Users don't expect a different behaviour when restarting windows.

While it would (will) certainly be handy to not be obliged to close the app before rebooting, it is by no means intuitive nor istinctive to me to do so. I think this shows my age... LOL
It sounds to me like rebooting while editing a word file (with the autosave disabled) and expecting to find the text back. Or like writing files on an USB stick and immediately taking it out, and expecting files to be always consistently written...

... But, again, time passes and computers have to become more "intelligent"

    :)
