The great thing about using the Scarlet is the Focusrite Tech support. They are familiar with the Kemper and Logic Pro and have helped me with a pain free setup of SPDIF using those components.
-
Okay. Is the model I posted a good choice?
-
The Scarlet 6i6 is the same one I use. I am very happy with its performance with the Kemper and Logic Pro X. Like I said, their tech support helped get me up and running when I was a bit lost in the process.

Okay, I think I'll grab one!
I made this today! https://soundcloud.com/farce_bandit/song6 (just a shitty demo)

Good luck!

best of luck!

Just quickly before I go spending more money, is there no way I can do it analog? I could with the 11R.
-
Wrong post.
-
i think we've been through the whole analog thang..
-
Okay lol. Thanks.

I'm just referring to previous threads/conversations regarding the analog issues you were having. Seems that you are having issues with the Tascam and kemper together.. that's all that I meant. Getting over the 1800 hump is really bout how it works and the manual which holds the keys.. One might think that an interface with 8 xlr inputs might have a switch (soft or hard) to switch them between line and mic input but not so in the 1800; if ya want line ya gotta go to the other set of inputs.. but hey there's lots of interfaces that will work! I'm sure you can tame that Tascam in time.. the recordings are sounding better than when you started.

Yea but I still find that anything with a bit of distortion sounds fizzy, messy and shitty. As my tearful posts point out in my other thread.
-
Phil, could you post a DI track of your Guitar and a Profile you have tried and disliked so i could try and reamp it? Maybe we could get an answer why your results are not working.
-
Sure. I'll do it after lunch. Thank you.
I don't want to get rid of it but I'm starting to lose patience. I've been at this for 6 months nearly.
I'll make sure there's no clipping on the input or output. Should I just post them on soundcloud and make them available for download? MP3 format?
I can't get a hi fi sounding recording with a single track so I copy the track on to a second track to give it more oomph. Do you want me to do that or just a single track?
-
The smaller Scarlet might work. Buy it thru Amazon. They have a great return policy for most products.
-
The small scarlett does not have S/Pdif ins and outs though.

If possible just take a passage from a track you've already recorded, original quality would most helpful. Make it available for download via Dropbox or a similar site.

I don't have a DI of them so I'll have to record something.
I'll record a DI and a wet sample of something that I can't get sounding how I want. Is that okay?
-
That's ok.
