Great post Viabcroce. Must have missed this one..
Rhetorical answer to the question:
"why looking for a substitute, if you can have the real thing?".
Both are the real thing

I think it has been mentioned before, but one main thing i love is portability!
If you play in multiple Bands and @home you dont have to carry a large and heavy Head + Box from place to place to have a good sound everywhere.
You only have to carry your Toaster or Rack and you can use the existing PA or take a lightweight PA Box for yourself or also use another amps Poweramp.
This only counts if you compare to a Amp + Cab Setup... to be fair, the Axe or 11R have the same advantage, but the other points on this list do the rest
Before i got the KPA i used my Flextone HD + 4x2 for rehearsals and a POD in combination with a ME50 for recording at home.
My Tube Amp never delivered the Kind of Highgain i needed for most of the things i play, so i had to move my whole Stack from room to room. Luckily all Bands are in the same building now, so it was only a few meters from door to door.
I think it has been mentioned before
All the relevant points have been added to the OP
