So my KPA in now 2 weeks old. I had formatted and begun using a mini USB stick (PNY) with no problems. Now the KPA will not recognize it, nor will it recognize a brand new one. My computer (PC) has no problem "seeing" these sticks and what's on them. Is my KPA defective??!

The Kemper has been reported to be picky with some brands. Is your brand new one a different brand or the same one?
First recommendation typically would be to use another quality brand.
AFAIK there never has been a report of a defective unit with the symptom of not recognizing the USB -
No, second brand was different from the first. And the KPA DOES respond to USB cable, just not cards... anymore. System WAS recognizing the PNY just fine, don't get it. Talking about swapping out KPA for new one with dealer now.

I'd contact support first to get pro help.

Hey gary, have you tried and reformat the USB on your computer?
Also, have you switched the unit off and on again? Keep it off for some hours.
As a last resource, if you want to go on with the DIY, I'd try a system reset

No, I haven't tried to reformat on computer, thought it had to be Kemper formatted. I can try that. Of course I did turn on and off multiple times, hours in between as well.
As an aside - having just played with Procol Harum with Geoff Whitehorn last weekend, I thought you'd find it interesting that last year I did the same - in Germany of all places, Wuppertal!!
Thanks for your assistance of course!

Hi nice music... digging it right now!

Hehe, Wuppertal is near where my Dad lives.
