At least I can confirm that this is a bug in the win version! (win 7, sp1) Sorry man.
The last click should be shift+click - and it selects the 2nd group as expected, but the ones selected before shouldn't become unselected.
Does the company know? Shouldn't be too difficult to fix this.

This is intentional. The behaviour is exactly the same as in Windows Explorer.
Arne,
understood! I was unaware of this. TY for the clarification.
I checked Excel (win), which is my reference in these cases and it behaves like I described/remembered. Surprisingly inconsistent from MS.
Not certain how it is done in Access or Word tables.
Anyway - I agree with Gianfranco that a multi-select in that way would be very helpful. Happy that OSX progs' GUIs react consistantly to this "treatment".

This doesn't seem to be the case on my system (W7 SP1 64 bit). If I open a local disc I can do what I'm asking for in this thread.
TBH, I've never seen a Win app where this was not possible.
It would be great anyway
Just use ctrl and click on each non-sequential profile. A bit more tedious, but it should work.
Yes, non-batch selection works as expected
