Potential new Kemper owner.. couple of questions

Hi, just a quick introduction I play live bass and have an Ampeg SVT-7 Pro head with an Ampeg 4x10 SVT cab, at home I do lots of recording (bass & guitars) and usually rely upon models from Amplitube/S-gear but having seen & heard the Kemper, im hooked and looking to get one asap... the only question to me is which I get.

now I would likely go for the rackmount version, but unsure about powered or not.
My use of this would probably be 90% home/studio and 10% live (maybe acting as a backup amp)

So i have 2 basic questions.....
1.
does the powered version introduce any extra noise? (whirring fans keeping the class d amp cool?) if so i obviously don't want this.

2.
the cab i have is http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt410hlf/
which states 4 ohms.
now on kempers specs it lists 600w at 8 ohms and 300w at 16ohms... will using the 4ohm cab damage the amp?

Hi Many thanks for the info,the sensitivity (if that's the same thing as efficiency is 98dB SPL 1w/1m)

I also have the option of plugging the kemper into the "power amp in" of the Ampeg which is 1000w and matched for the cab, Im not even sure ill use the kemper ever as a bass amp, I know that most of the kemper use will be in the studio, i should really save myself the money and get the non powered version... but I just know that if i get the non powered, i'll one day have a need for powered!
Decisions decisions!!

I have downloaded quite a few free packs, purchased a couple of amp factory packs and imported them into the library manager ready:) Roll on tomorrow!

Arrived safe & sound to work today, unboxed and racked it after lunch, not yet powered it on, that will have to wait a few hours until I get home.
I have the serial number but I dont see anywhere on my forum profile to add it
