Make sure you're using the square Usb connection in the back of the Kemper.
I'm having the same trouble. Of course I'm using the correct cable. Any other suggestions?
Just for clarification, it should be a USB A to USB B cable. If it's not working, try another cable.

No, you have to boot up rig manager by yourself and it should see the Kemper.

Go to control panel in Windows and find device manager. Within device manager, is the Kemper showing up as a device? If it's not, there's possibly something wrong with the cable. I do hope you're using an A to B cable, just to be explicit. The pendrive USB port on the Kemper will not work for hooking up the device to a PC or Mac.
