What are you guys doing, if anything, to protect the end of the remote cable that plugs into the kemper? Wish they would have gone with the same end that goes into the remote. I'm worried that the other end is going to break because every time I take it out of the case, the small part of the end is always bent in the wrong direction...it's eventually going to snap right off at this rate...

I have another cable (cat 6a for example) in my bag. It's not the best solution, but it is one
-
Is it bent the wrong way because of the way you pack it? Can you change the way you pack it?
-
It's from the transporting...doesn't matter how it's packed. All it has to do it hit something. I do keep a spare handy but hoping there's a better way to keep it safe.

You could get a small USB to USB junction box, and plug it into the box to protect the connector when you transport it.
-
Mine stays connect in the rack unit all the time. I've never unplugged it from the KPA only the remote end
-
I'm using the lunchbox...I have to disconnect it to transport. I roll/wrap it up and transport it in the kpa bag. During travel, just nbormal movement pulls that piece apart...seems unavoidable. Not sure why they didn't make both ends lockable.

It's not USB though...right? Maybe just a small ethernet box if there is such a thing?
-
Maybe something like this?

Do mean this box?

That would work too...where is it available?

eBay they sell everything on there lol

I'll look locally...probably a radio shack...
-
You'll get it by your local dealer for sure

I bought one of these ...
https://m.thomann.de/gb/pro_sn…able_10m.htm?ref=mpd_aa_4the end comes off the socket and plugs into the remote ...then I stick it back on when I unplug it from my lunchbox.
the cable is much nicer and heavier to -
Yes.. I meant Ethernet. Sorry about that!

How does the end slide off to plug into back of KPA
-
It's just like any wifi/network cable going into your router

You can unscrew the Neutrik Ethercon by hand without tools. So whats left is the plug like on any standard network cable.

You can also just use a snagless Cat5 cable. Probably better for transporting. Check these out:
http://www.cablestogo.com/category/cat-x/cat5eUp to 35 feet long at $19.99. They also have Cat5 connecters that you could plug both ends into after coiling it up, pretty well protected then. You could even have a spare with you
