how do you guys use this? ive seen it from 8db and 0 db on presets. not sure ho to use this.

The factory profiles are 0 dB and levelled. This is my reference loudness.
I adjust other profiles against my references. -
I hardly ever touch it, I just think of it as yet another way to level volumes. No need to worry about where it's set, it does not affect your tone, it acts more like an attenuator set after the power amp.
