Hey guys, I know this is a beginner question but I want to get a hold of everything.
I would like to know what is the difference between a Guitar Rig and a Profile.
Which one is suitable for playing live and which one is for studio purposes?
Thanks in advance

a rig is everything, profile and stomps, effects etc where a profile is just that no effects/stomps just how the amp was profiles. Rigs are obviously tweaked to sound there best and may have certain effects to achive a certain tone

This. A rig is basically what you hear from your Kemper when you play. It is made by a profile basically, but most often by fx as well.
Most often this is just an academic distinction tho, since you can d/l a "profile" and already find fx in it. Most available "profiles" are, in fact, rigs.Summing up, do not worry
PS: wikpa.org is a great resource, altho not up-to-date, for basic (and not so basic as well) questions
